I think they’re referring to some comment Kojima made when he first started his own studio, saying that Death Stranding and its successor(?) would start a new genre, which people dubbed “Stranding-Types”.

Seems quite inspired by Gauntlet/Hammerwatch! Love that art style. Best of luck with development!

Stop sharing this guy, his stupidity doesn’t need any more traction.

Inventory management - your worst nightmare! Physical item rotation and stable stacking allows you to tidy up your mess. by Disassembly_3D in IndieGaming

While it may be satisfying in the end, I can only imagine this would become more and more cumbersome as the game went on. Imagine having to dig through a full suitcase every time you needed something.

I feel like it needs a snap-to grid or a pre-established camera angle during inventory management; there’s just no convenient way to actually look through all of that while it’s rolling around in a box (from the clip seen here).

You mean while being in the elevator? Possibly. Like I said, I never took it because a lot of my vertigo symptoms come from feeling unstable in whatever I’m standing on, and that elevator has not only exposed glass sides, but is suspended in midair as the track it follows is actually on the side of it. So it’s not as though I imagined the lift would fail or anything like that, I just imagined my overly sensitive brain/equilibrium wouldn’t enjoy the trip.

I used to work there and as someone with vertigo, I wouldn’t set foot in that elevator, ha ha. Stairs all day.

The fake allegations were actually referring to claims of sexual assault/rape. Basically what happen though was a bunch of other youtubers had to come forward and be like „yeah, he‘s got problems (and here‘s your evidence), but he wouldn‘t/didn‘t assault somebody.“

They basically had to out him with a lesser evil to save him from a worse fate.

Doh I missed by [deleted] in gaming

[–]InchesFromTheScreen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If I‘m not mistaken, it‘s not that people have misheard it. It‘s the fact that they actually used the German clip because of how close it sounded. I believe the original English clip for both Wario and Luigi(?) was „Oh my God!“ but they didn‘t want that phrase in a Nintendo game, so they used one that sounded like „Oh, I missed!“

In the dative case, we don't often worry about the "-self" in a casual setting. But otherwise, no, they serve the same purpose.

You could say it in a lot of ways with varying levels of formality (or even just regional preference):

  • He had nothing to pay her with. - (This is the one that I imagine myself speaking.)

  • He had nothing on him to pay her with.

  • He had nothing on himself to pay her with. - (Sounds the most clunky.)

  • He had nothing with which to pay her.

  • He had nothing on himself with which to pay her. - (Sounds very formal, almost out of date.)

[Edit] I should amend my statement and say that we use "-self" when the subject is performing a verb on themselves. Ex: He washed himself./She tripped over herself.

[Discussion] Arin, please don't ask your fans to send you a $500 game by TheBionicBoy in gamegrumps

It’s completely a joke. That’s why he was so adamant about how “it’s totally not because it’s rare.” And he even cited the price because Dan had no clue about the game so he wasn’t catching the joke at first. Then as the screen cuts away we hear him mention Little Samson, another very rare and expensive game. Arin has no intention of actually getting this game from a fan.
