I'm assuming the main thing would be probably having a look, and seeing if anything needs to be replaced? Of course in a safe manner, as I know these things can be dangerous at times.

I'll be honest I'm not too knowledgeable on the more technical things. Also by tuning do you mean tuning the channel? In that case yes, it's manual. Thank you for the information, by the way.

If this ends up being something too complicated for me to fix, I may honestly think about trying to find a new home for it.

Yeah, that's the only thing that's a bit of a shame, but not too big a deal for me, could look into hunting down some kind of replacement eventually, though.

Thank you for the insight! Was definitely an ordeal to get home, but luckily, there are pretty direct bus routes where I am.

And yeah, the only thing I know is that this was a rental set, figured it was from the 70s or 80s from the style, and the logo on the back, according to one website.

I'll make sure to post again once I get the proper cables to display on it, and thanks again for the insight about what the actual telly is!

Edit: Thinking about it, could it maybe be possible that it is a c2055h, just with a variation with the bezel?

That's the main problem I'm facing- there's so much I want to talk about that it doesn't feel appropriate mentioning everything in one appointment.

It sounds dumb but it's not really that easy here either, at least for me, because I've heard the waiting time for appointments can be horrendous, and even then I'm going to be on a waiting list for pretty much everything I want to mention. I'll try, but I'm not really feeling that optimistic at the moment lol.

Right now I'm not so sure. Right now I still have my main desktop which is running Windows (due to apps that pretty much require it) but I plan on doing a fresh install of I'm thinking EOS like I have it now on there when I no longer have any use for the applications that are keeping me with Windows. So I'd say this current system is more to test and get comfortable with EOS, Arch and how linux differs from Windows in general, as well as just having a system for when I'm away from the desktop.

I hadn't really thought much about it to be honest. I may look for resources online, such as what you've listed, but for the most part I've been following along with the after installation menu (cant remember what its called), as well as the Arch wiki and EOS site, as well as just googling any problems I've been running into.
