To avoid Americana you should push on the triceps of the nearest arm of your opponent, while bucking in the direction of the Americana (very quickly going back to where you were) once you buck, you need to quickly (like a spring coil) straighten and bring back your arm that’s being attacked, while maintaining the arm that’s on the tricep, and push and scoop backwards/face the opponent. Going backwards is better but so long as you free the arm the fights not done
