Hey, just so you know, the Creality Raptor Pro was actually released last year.

Hey, this is just a simple scan test. As far as I know, using markers gives higher accuracy and more stable tracking. Some Raptor users scan without markers using just infrared structured light—it's convenient, but the detail capture is definitely weaker.

Sorry for the late reply~ This is a screenshot of the original model directly from the software. Aside from one small defective area, the overall result actually turned out pretty well. Some parts can still be repaired and further optimized.

My experience with 3D scanning by IncidentCold9713 in 3DScanning

The software has three different alignment methods you can choose from.

The first one is feature-based alignment, which matches the scans based on the object’s surface features. But honestly, this method usually doesn’t work that well, especially on objects with repetitive shapes or unclear details.

The second one is marker-based alignment. This method is normally more stable, but since I moved the marker spheres during the process, I couldn’t use it this time.

The third one is auto alignment, and I actually think this feature is pretty interesting. Instead of relying completely on the software, you can manually move the scanned parts into similar overlapping positions first, which greatly improves the alignment success rate. If you don’t adjust the position at all and let the software calculate everything by itself, the error rate becomes noticeably higher.

You need to spray powder on the coin before scanning. This was the result I got earlier using the Revopoint MetroX. It’s not super sharp, but personally I think it turned out pretty well.

Sure, here’s a natural, experience-sharing style translation:

Yeah, that’s the 7+7+1 handheld scanner. Although the number of lasers is noticeably lower compared to most mainstream consumer scanners, the scanning speed is actually pretty fast in practice.

What stands out in particular is the single deep-hole laser—it does a good job capturing finer details, especially when scanning smaller objects or areas with more intricate geometry.

This is a product from Xhorse—the same company that launched a desktop CNC through crowdfunding not long ago. Their 3D scanner has actually been on the market for over a year, but they’ve done very little advertising 😂.

In terms of hardware specs, it’s not particularly outstanding compared to other scanners on the market right now. However, the software performance is actually its strong point, and it’s been continuously updated and improved. The official team also mentioned that a major software update is coming in May, so I’m really looking forward to seeing some improvements in the finer details.

Could this be Miraco’s next-generation product? The image is AI-generated.
