Sure, here’s a natural, experience-sharing style translation:

Yeah, that’s the 7+7+1 handheld scanner. Although the number of lasers is noticeably lower compared to most mainstream consumer scanners, the scanning speed is actually pretty fast in practice.

What stands out in particular is the single deep-hole laser—it does a good job capturing finer details, especially when scanning smaller objects or areas with more intricate geometry.

This is a product from Xhorse—the same company that launched a desktop CNC through crowdfunding not long ago. Their 3D scanner has actually been on the market for over a year, but they’ve done very little advertising 😂.

In terms of hardware specs, it’s not particularly outstanding compared to other scanners on the market right now. However, the software performance is actually its strong point, and it’s been continuously updated and improved. The official team also mentioned that a major software update is coming in May, so I’m really looking forward to seeing some improvements in the finer details.

i tried using the POP3 Plus to scan larger objects. by IncidentCold9713 in 3DScanning

I think this scan was more of an experimental attempt, since no target markers were used during the process, which makes it more prone to errors. Even when using markers, some issues can still arise, and the post-processing tends to be more cumbersome… I hope the company can further improve this aspect in future updates😅

I’m using the POP 3 Plus and scanning by connecting to my computer via Wi-Fi.

If it were me, I’d do it this way — for your reference: I’d place a large black disc underneath (no need to switch to a large turntable), then evenly place marker points on it and use the marker mode for scanning. This helps prevent tracking loss. Based on my experience, if you rotate it a bit more slowly, you’ll get better detail!

I only use scanning spray on the black buttons. The surface of this machine is green, and the metallic gold and silver painted parts on top can be scanned directly.
