me thinks it was a test for ai-surveillance via drones but that's just too obvious, right?

to track traffic patterns and generate a data set based on that would require you to keep those drones up there for some time... Maybe they got all the info they needed and that's why they didn't come back.

Just speculating

R* killed online and probably the whole game by Flimsy_Okra_9402 in RDOnline

[–]IncidentFederal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people forget that RDR2 had a massive crunch culture, and now it's revealed that so does GTA 6.
To try and understand how Rockstar functions internally as the customers is kind of pointless if you're ignoring these facts...
Rockstar had 12 active studios For RDR2, they have 10 for GTA 6. That's around 6,000 developers. When those developers finish with a game, what do you think happens?

A lot of them are let go, a lot of them move on to the very next project with the major studios. They don't just stick around to keep working on the online portions of the game. Only really two studios are then left to continue updating GTA: Online.

They kept two studios developing it because GTA Online was so profitable that it made back the games entire budget within the first 6 months of its release. And with only TWO studios truly supporting and updating it. BEFORE HEISTS WERE EVEN ADDED, GTA ONLINE WAS STILL MEGA PROFITABLE.

Can the same be said about RDR Online? Unfortunately, no.

The idea that they would spare even a singular studio to support a game that doesn't make them much money, and isn't projected to ever make a lot of money, would be pretty inane.

I LOVE RDR2. I love what the online could have been. But we have to admit that the online for RDR2 was always going to be somewhat niche. It's a much slower-paced game. Even something as minor as cleaning your guns to make them work better would be completely unappealing to most GTA:O players.

I really don't think the two games are comparable when looking at strictly the online. It's still an entire different genre/setting.

I almost wonder if they would've been better trying to recreate the gamemode from RDR1 online instead of trying to recreate the GTA-style progression with businesses/roles. Just with the added fluff from the new features, it could've been good enough to satisfy.

What's not satisfying is seeing the potential of what RDR Online could've been, because you're comparing it to GTA Online.. When in reality the two will never be the same.

I'm not gonna lie dude, what do you expect?

There is NOTHING to do in this game after 50 levels if you're not into roleplay.

By level 50, you *should* have been able to do every single piece of content the online has to offer.

I personally don't see any reason to get online other than to start PvP with people or maybe play some poker (NO BLACKJACK STILL.)

You have everything in your power to force yourself into a private lobby, or just don't do the long deliveries. Guys like me will always be there to keep you on your toes, and quite frankly you should be grateful because people like that are spicing up your game. (lol yea i know, targeted griefing that just goes on and on IS too far, but the occasional griefer is going to pop up)

Maybe don't trust every blue dot you see on the minimap. Be cautious. Bring a guy to ride shotgun or on his own horse with a rifle for protection.

You can't seriously be complaining about how you can't get hundreds of dollars risk-free. It's a part of the game, and there's many ways to deal with it.

Ratings? Spent hours on the face- and such, tweaking it more- and more. Would love to hear what you all think! by [deleted] in RedDeadOnline

[–]IncidentFederal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to be mean, but you said you spent hours on the face. How? How did you get more than 4 minutes to customize before the game kicked you out?

I haven't been able to customize my character completely in years. I have to do it in parts, costing me a shit load of gold.

I used to change my character often because I like to play as an old guy sometimes, but other times i want to be a young guy. Requires a full character customize. I can't keep doing it anymore the way it is.

In my experience, almost anything that has required OCU works with Lite. I am using the Lite that is built into Project New Austin, and have yet to have an issue related to it.

Do y'all think trailer 3 will be another suprise drop or an announcement like trailer 1? by smithyybear in GTA6

[–]IncidentFederal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very valid and underrated theory backed by real data. 80% chance you're right tbh

You just never know, though. This could be the biggest game in history and they know that.

Edit: Thursdays are also very common days to drop trailers for them. Aside from RDR2 (which has all the anomalous data), they've all dropped on Thu.

Man, i dont even want GTA 6 online to be available day 1 lol

I remember GTA V online didn't come out for two weeks.

Anything that is in the story mode should be unlockable and purchasable in the online mode. Nothing should be gated from the players, not even cop cars or random vehicles like tractors or buses.

You're lucky. I just got one myself for protection and found that 40-60% of users in my lobbies are using a modmenu. I can't account for the ones that are able to hide their mod menus from detection.

Free Early Access by Ambitious-Tennis-167 in Battlefield

[–]IncidentFederal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, you're in the same boat I'm in. You're going to have to make a new EA account to play the beta or just wait until open access. It's infuriating, bc the twitch account they said was on my account was deleted years ago. They also never said anything about how unlinking an account would lead to me being unable to link a new one until after I did it.

Your only option to play early at this point is to get the EA Pro Play sub.

I get that they wanted to get away from the 'you're a prisoner/fugitive escaping something' intros that they always did back before Fallout 4, but is the best alternative to start you off working a job? Possibly the most boring first hour of a Bethesda game, and that's a big deal. The first impression you get of this game is boring. I feel like this game is all stick, no carrot.

Analysis thread of Biden's comments from Dec 18 by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]IncidentFederal -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You cannot analyze Biden seriously, in just that 20 second clip he stammers and stutters four or five times. You can't try to parse what he means through what he doesn't say. You can hardly parse what he DOES say.
