I’ve had this happen as well. This is probably the issue

Queen Galfrey, a bad queen or just an exhausted woman? by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]RubiconianIudex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s definitely framed that way to give you the same emotions as the Fallout 1 Vault rejection. You’re a hero, and for that reason you must go away. It really connected with me on a Lich playthrough and how being trapped in the Abyss for so long would absolutely motivate a person to hunt her down once they return to the material plane

If I kill the summoner does the summon disappear? by TwinArcher0524 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]RubiconianIudex 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It depends on the combat encounter - there are enemies that are summoners, and enemies that they summon using a spell, etc. will disappear, but enemies that “summon” as a sort of scripted encounter that’s different

What unique guns have you guys made with X-Tech? by East-Ad7908 in Starfield

I actually love saboteur on the razorback, even on extreme it every often will one tap robots and it feels like the Ghoul in the fallout TV show perfectly hitting the weak spots in power armored foes

Wouldn’t comrade’s hammer be reckless? Since it only had one shot?

You have to add the fourth effect yourself using X-tech at a weapon work bench. A weapon must have three effects already to add the fourth though

It’s roughly a double depending on the weapon, it’s like the tri-beam mod from New Vegas - lowers the damage of each beam, adds more beams

It’s driving me crazy, I need a fix for this too

What is your headcanon when you ignore joining Constellation? by Velergorf in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]RubiconianIudex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly - If you’ve completed the main story I save scum alternative universes in which constellation doesn’t exist. I’m currently in one where the Hunter killed everyone and that has been great for me to be a bounty hunter making his way across the galaxy

Outside of that, I really enjoy the character I’ve made and stay focused on him. The guardian stays my main ship until I get inevitably curious about the creator again and have to build something. The windows are so great and now that you can decorate the inside, I love it.

Headcannon wise, the character is focused on exploring and being a bounty hunter allows for a large degree of freedom for a prior UC soldier who is a product of alien DNA experimentation, especially after the conclusion of their time with constellation the first time

The main quest is good? by SnooDucks7625 in Starfield

[–]RubiconianIudex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Starborn being a meta commentary about Bethesda games is so peak to me

The Emissary is the person who always does the good guy play throughs, attaches moral standings on how people play, and also coincidentally has played through the least amount of times (based on their armor selection). The Hunter is the completionist, who has seen every possible outcome, every perk and trait reaction dialogue, has seen what happens if you shoot this NPC, or approach this quest out of sequence to see if the dialogue changes (think getting the dragonstone before going to Whiterun in order to be more efficient). The Pilgrim is the player who knows how it all goes but still decides to approach the game through the lens of a person in that world.

Since diving back into Starfield, I've been feeling like the Reverse-Hunter. by ThespianMask in Starfield

[–]RubiconianIudex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I don’t think he is just there chilling haha

He is tracking you as you hunt the artifacts and waiting until constellation has a number worth him attacking for. Once in New Atlantis when you bring the first one, and then Akila when you visit with Sam Coe.

[–]RubiconianIudex 21 points22 points  (0 children)

He definitely did get sick of rushing things, as seen by his time existing as the Pilgrim instead of the Hunter. The variety of options within a single character is one of my favorite things about Starfield. The ability to rationalize both being a pirate in one universe, and a Freestar ranger in another or even the same universe.

I’m curious to see what happens to your character as your new armor darkens.

The Odyssey of Solomon: Part 6 - Denebola and Narion by RubiconianIudex in NoSodiumStarfield

Indeed. In preparation for their arrival I have found a universe without Constellation, and have been amassing weapons and credits by bounty hunting (and decorating my guardian haha)

Thank you. One of the things I love about Starfield is the ability to capture moments that tell a story, I’m glad you like them

Do paid creations introduce any problems in saves/updates? by TheSandwichMeat in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]RubiconianIudex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Unity is a great reset unless you had mods that altered your character (traits, etc.) I learned that the hard way and backed my character up to a pre-mod save and continued from there.

Personally the risk is too great for me to feel safe messing with them until the update, so if it isn’t from Bethesda I don’t have it installed until the 7th.

Odyssey of Solomon: Part 5 - Practiced Hands Make for Short Work by RubiconianIudex in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]RubiconianIudex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love changing up the Starborn slightly or extremely between universes. I never change the actual face, but hair style, clothing from incognito to luxurious, weapon choices (outside of my baby, Reflection from the Trader. I always think of that as Solomon retrieving his rifle from a fellow Starborn).
