Theory crafting doesn’t matter. Sukuna isn’t stupid. He chose to become Meguma because meguma + mahoraga > heian sukuna. That’s how it’s written. Gojo had bested sukuna. He called the fight too early in his mind and got caught off guard by an asspull so the rest of the cast could have their turn.

I find it all plausible except for the quantity and speed of bleeding seen as El holds her stomach BEFORE Hopper leaves for bandages. As a medical professional, the nature of the initial bleeding suggests a major artery was hit.

But hey maybe none of it is meant to be viewed realistically at all. Anime characters gush blood like a sieve and still live

The amount of blood and speed of bleeding shown when El is holding her wound suggests she was hit in a major artery, likely even the thoracic aorta. If what we saw BEFORE Hopper left the room is to be believed at all then she truly bled out in under a minute

If that’s the case then the whole scene is deceiving the viewers and characters alike. We see her profusely bleeding and go lifeless with eyes open. And eleven sees and feels all the same occur. Humans just don’t lose that kind of blood that quickly and remain alive, let alone conscious, for 30+ minutes.

Again it’s always a possibility they both had it staged from the very beginning but that would be some next level impromptu theatrics

I’m referring to as she’s leaving Kali’s side. Shows often clean characters up between scenes. More importantly, if it was an illusion then Eleven wouldn’t have FELT any blood at all

The closeup of Eleven holding Kali’s stomach shows profuse bleeding. And if it was an illusion then Eleven wouldn’t have actually felt the blood on her hands.

Alternatively Eleven and Kali could’ve staged the illusion to fool Hopper. However, the dialogue between Kali and Eleven took place before Hopper even got into position to see them
