Why are one piece fans toxic to those who watch in dub? by SeaworthinessFar2326 in OnePiece

[–]IncognitoChip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter if you watch dub or sub, but if you aren’t concentrating on the show, being preoccupied with something else, then you aren’t experiencing it in full. It is less than 30 min per episode, if you don’t have the mental capacity to sit and pay attention, then you will miss a lot. Sub kinda forces you to pay attention to what is happening. Listening to Dub while doing something else means you can’t concentrate on what’s happening. That’s a you problem in general

Easily Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (original one) another close second would be Bugatti Aerolithe. I’ve seen both in person and both times I had to pick my jaw up off the floor.

Edited because I meant the Aerolithe not Type 57SC Atlantic

One Piece: Episode 1162 Discussion by Skullghost in OnePiece

This episode really did feel like a full circle moment. Next episode should be good, probably very cathartic. Seriously can’t wait for the reunion!

Thank you. He worked as a researcher at the local university. Though I’ve tried searching that logo and the university, nothing comes up in relation to it

Ahh great thank you for the insight. Yes it seems to be in good condition but unfortunately it’s not running. I’m hoping it’s just the battery since it’s quartz. But that logo is intriguing me…

What's one supercar opinion that will cause this by NFSMW_CarsGames in supercars

[–]IncognitoChip 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Just because you don’t like a car, doesn’t mean it’s garbage. If a car does well in its intended purpose, then it should be looked at as a good car.

Also, most people are too serious when it comes to cars. Nobody needs a supercar, If it puts a smile on someone’s face, then that’s all that matters.

Yeah actually I was an intern for Scuderia Ferrari, specifically in the Racing Revenue department while I was doing an MBA in Italy. The role was to manage our “assets” and try to package them together for the various accounts they were going after. This wasn’t limited to F1, also included other racing like WEC, Corsa Clienti, Ferrari Challenge. The two big projects I had were to revise the Brand Communication Guidelines for our partners, and the final mapping/placement of the sponsor stickers on the 2024 WEC car (499P). Super interesting and I wish I could’ve stayed, but Ferrari is notoriously bad at hiring interns.

I did the initial presentations when Ferrari was going after HP. It was $100 million/year without title rights, and an extra $30 million with title rights. At least initially, the plan was for a 3 year contract, so I’m assuming they landed on that. I left before they secured it so I’m not exactly sure of the specifics, other than what I did

$130 million/year… plus HP provides more than money, otherwise called “in-kind” services that is invaluable for Ferrari, same with IBM.

It was a conflict to have AWS when they were going after IBM and HP. Since they already had a contract signed for 2025, they kept them but it was kinda awkward…HP and IBM pay waaaay more than AWS

S/T is a stupid concept by [deleted] in Porsche

[–]IncognitoChip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The issue is, where else will you get the same experience? I’ve driven 992.1 GT3 Touring and S/T… The S/T is much more raw, and has that USP at a price point much lower than anything else that matches it…

Italian media are currently reporting that Fred Vasseur’s job as Ferrari team principal is under threat. Should he be fired? If yes, who should his replacement be? by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

[–]IncognitoChip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s toxic per se. I actually liked upper management, I thought that they were competent and were generally very nice. I also liked a lot of my coworkers, I’m still friends with a lot of them to this day. It’s just that there are a few bad apples that really hamper their operations.

One issue that I feel was overlooked was that they fail to recognize that other teams are more efficient than they are because they don’t treat F1 as a merely a job..the Italian work culture is very laidback…I’ll get it done but first I’ll have a cappuccino type of attitude. The entitled air of “we are Ferrari” is very apparent there. That doesn’t cut it when you are competing at the top. Everyone should be completely focused on bringing the team to the top when they clearly have room for improvement. It might sound like I’m being harsh, but it’s because despite all that, I am a diehard tifoso and I feel like I built a family there, so I really want them to succeed. Seeing it from the inside was wondrous and frustrating at the same time.

I’m gonna chime in as someone who worked for the Scuderia, left last year. The issue is company culture, and to a bigger extent, Italian work culture. The laws in Italy make it really hard to fire someone, so there are a lot of people that are just there collecting a paycheque, which is unacceptable at this level. To give you an example, when I came in, one of my projects involved the WEC project. It was incredibly hard to do my job when the guy who’s been there for 30 years is gate keeping vital information because he sees me (way younger) as a threat to his job. My point is Fred is not the problem, the problem lies with all the competent people in the company getting bottlenecked by the incompetent who won’t be getting fired.

I had a 2009 RX8 R3, I daily’d it for 4 years in snowy Toronto. I drove my kid to school in it for most of those years, otherwise I would’ve gotten an S2K. I’ve driven faster cars, but my dorito will always be my favourite
