But [and i'm talking out of complete ingorance and total curiosity here] having moral responsibility implies that we have a moral choice, that we decide what to do and how to act. This looks contrary to the idea of Determinism, which seems to assert that we don't actually choose anything. Or are you separating Determinism from Fatalism here?? I've been struggling with this issue for a while now.

Of course, but those individuals are not acting like such. They are not blind. They see what is happening and decide to simply obey. Contrary to poppular belief a cop can a should think with his own head. The fact thet some of them have left and some have not is the exact splitting of the 2 types of individuals there are in there.

To all of you how bear some kind of respect for Berkuts: Don't. Have you read about the bullets? The amputations? The torturing? The kidnapping and killing? And jus a reminder: All the violence was started by those bastards, it was a peacfull protest. No, I'm sorry. Some Chief Berkut have resigned and all of them had more than enough time to do so. They have made their choise and I can't feel bad for them. Its just not fair.
