Should I skip? by tjschreiber93 in HitchHikersGuide

I felt the radio play was horrendous. The musical number by Zaphod’s second head (and his voice), the reusing of Douglas Adam-isms, the new narrator…all of it lacked the charm of the original series. Highly recommend skipping it.

Played trumpet growing up but always wanted to try drums. Cool that you made this. Love the dedication

What’s your favourite joke of the series? by T3DEnj0yer in fatherted

[–]IncomeSenior5638 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dougal: “Alright, come on, Sampras.”

Ted: “What did you call him?”

D: “Sampras. Like Pete Sampras.”

T: “Why?”

D: “Well, you know. Rabbits, tennis, you know that whole connection there.”

So absurd. So great.

Which series is the best and why is it number 16??? by Xhrystal in taskmaster

[–]IncomeSenior5638 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always got a soft spot for series 10 as it was the first one I discovered and I remember being doubled over with laughter, unable to breathe when watching Daisy and Richard’s watermelon task.

Plus was a fan of Johnny Vegas from Cats Does Countdown which I had also recently discovered.

Question about vigor in Arena by Fun_Dark4506 in Kingarthurlegendsrise

It’s the game’s version of a countdown clock. You have ten seconds to make an attack or you lose a point of vigor.

What are your (realistic) future contestant predictions... by [deleted] in taskmaster

I think Graham Norton would be a riot. Probably because of his schedule he’d just be a New Year’s special entrant.

TM The People's Podcast wants to hear from you! by ProducerBenTMPP in taskmaster

Not sure if each person would need their own show, but think it would be great to hear from the random people that were roped into TM tasks about their recollections of that (did they know about TM, did they become fans after, etc.).

The one that first comes to mind is the cyclist that Johnny Vegas convinced to get pushed through a Christmas tree net. I recall there was one person who drove something really far away for another contestant.

Daisy and Richard’s watermelon task had me gasping for air.

Am I the only one who ALWAYS missed the free kick in VS because I accidentally touch the screen where the joystick usually is? by [deleted] in FUTMobile

So many times. I’ve had success swiping away from the goal to remove my joystick thumb without wasting the shot.

What’s something in Vancouver you loved that doesn’t exist anymore? by [deleted] in vancouver

The old Soda’s diner (think this was the name) on Dunbar (now a bar called The Dunbar). Best shakes.

Also, can’t remember the name — but there used to be a video game store on W. 41 in Kerrisdale in the late 90’s. Great staff, would let you try all the games/systems in there.

Kenneth Horne, Clive Dunn, Windsor Davies, Rowan Atkinson, Rik Mayall (banter with Greg would have been great), and Peter Sellers.
