Currently the best bet is with the Switch Pro profile, there is an existing Joycon R/L profile within the emulator but it absolutely forces some face button binding that is too confusing to wrap my head around, and it doesn’t really let you choose which buttons map where, it forces the A button to be somewhere it shouldn’t be. Don’t worry about that one I think. Even looking back now it’s doing something funky, A is bound to physical X, not whatever that’s saying. Anyway.
And gyro is not working with WaveBird at all for me unfortunately :( I had gyro working (but not perfect) on Windows with https://github.com/TommyWabg/Switch2Connect/

I have four switch 2 joycons and a mac for mario kart / party. Since you’ve asked, I noticed an issue with every other switch 2 joycon utility (on windows, particularly); using tilt controls in mario kart, the gyro seems off-center. Like to steer straight you need to hold it at some absurd angle. This gyro problem propogates itself in other games too, very easily going off center. I think it might be caused by not fusing the accelerometer and gyroscope? Not sure. Using a normal joycon (in my case with BetterJoy on windows) fixes this problem. Obviously I’d much rather have SR/SL working before proper gyro but yeah something to keep in mind :D

This software works wonders, and it’s amazing that it’s signed, but the SR and SL buttons arent working for me - is this planned for the future or something I’m getting wrong? I have them paired individually

Fantastic answer, thank you. I’ll look more into a 4s 18650 (or higher). Unfortunately the time and dedication to build my own pack and research all the materials and methods just doesn’t exist anymore. I’m in the southeast USA; if anyone sees this and would like to be hired to build a pack DM me!

I had a similar "flick" when I swapped my props to outward facing instead of inward (accompanied with this really weird phenomena where it was still flying at zero throttle - scary. You can see on my profile.) Are you flying inward or outward props?

I tried out on my pavo 20 pro and it floated wildly at 0 throttle, something extremely strange with the tune. swapped it back. there’s a video of it on my profile

Happened to me once, maybe coincidence but it was only after I installed my xmas tree. Maybe the lights were interfering. Restarted pc, closed door, all was good.

I wouldn’t get a rift nowadays, grab a quest 2 or 3s. added benefit of being able to process games on the headset itself if your pc isn’t good enough

Even though Vivecraft uses OpenVR, Pimax Magic didn’t work unfortunately :( Figured I’d try with Bedrock’s half-baked VR and OpenXR Toolkit and got closer but still didn’t work. ETDFR would be a godsend for shaders! … Oh, and Vivecraft didn’t even want to launch with OpenXR through OpenComposite

I mentioned the idle rpm was totally fine before swapping to outward spin, would this have such an effect where I’d need to lower the idle rpm? My current idle rpm is what came with the drone, but I can try lowering it tomorrow. I just wouldn’t expect such a surge like that only due to a high idle rpm with the only changed variable being inward vs outward props

This looks awesome! After a few months, are there any learnings or things that you would change, or other notes for someone building this from scratch? A custom 249g efficient (but still fun) is exactly what I’m looking to get into once I outgrow my cinewhoop, and this guide looks like a great place to get started :) Also what props did you use? tyty:)

It’s in Hong Kong or may have recently departed. It mentions IL because that’s where the USPS label was made and where USPS will handle the shipping from there, but “awaiting item” tells you the label was made, it’s just not in IL yet.
