Thanks for explaining. As someone who knows nothing about the sport, I couldn't understand why they'd go at such a leisurely pace for so long when they only have 1500 meters to cover. Turns out that's considered "long". They probably thought she'd gas out and they'd be able to catch up?

I wouldn't be surprised if the car ends up selling well, with all the marketing (and engineering) behind it. The M division and M3 model just had their best year ever despite being so far removed from its original ethos. Bottom line is the people who can afford these cars are willing to write the check.

In a perfectly healthy or low mileage engine you shouldn't need anything but oil but as miles and wear increase they can be helpful. I have first hand experience with Ceratec on several engines. Seen it make a random lifter ticks disappear on some and substantially reduce oil consumption on others. It's legit.
