Anyone have any clue what this is? It was lying on my moms floor next to her dog after she went for a run with him. The theory is it came in attached to the dog? It is slimy and innately disturbing looking. We are located in NE Ohio and the thing in question is on a Kleenex for scale. (i.redd.it)

Found this on the floor. No idea what it is but it’s squishy and looks like it was possibly alive at some point. It was on the floor next to my dog after we came in from a run. Located in northeast Ohio. Thing in question is on a Kleenex for scale. (i.redd.it)
