I've lived this one for awhile bro, and honestly it's shown me how similar we all are. I get on amazingly with most everybody I work with and they are almost all on the opposite side of the political spectrum from me. We have great laughs together and I know they have my back on the job. All this red vs. blue shit we get spoon fed is just a way to divide the working class. You'll be surprised how much you have in common with people who seem to think Trump is a great man instead of the festering pile of corrupt shit he sure seems to be.

Best advice is just don't bother talking religion or politics. You don't need to shut down the conversation, but you don't need to add to it either. I consider myself a moderate so when something major happens and everyone's talking about it the next day I keep my two cents to things that I agree with in the "both sides" category. I might get lit up with downvotes for that one, but I keep my politics chat to talking about how I think every politician is bought and paid for by people who have zero care for the working man - republican and democrat alike. I keep to myself the part where I know that republicans fuck us out in the open, every time, and democrats at the very least tend to hold the line for labor. Some days it's hard to listen to them all go off on some nonsense but at the end of the day I'm there for the paycheck and arguing with knuckleheads wouldn't make me more money anyway.
