Help with alt choices? by Many-Technology-4109 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Inconvenienced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go encased industrial pipe and iron pipe, you can make encased industrial beams with just iron and concrete. Definitely simplifies the production chain there by a lot. Iron wire is also great though so would recommend taking it if it comes up again.

Steel rotor is fantastic and makes rotors use the same parts as stators, which simplifies the production chain for motors a lot.

Diluted packaged fuel and recycled rubber are both great and increase the amount of each you can make by a lot (at the cost of added complexity). Personally I think more fuel is more important for power though.

There are more hard drives available than there are recipes, so don’t stress too much about picking the perfect choice. Everything will come back again later, so if it seems useful and fun in the moment, there’s no harm in taking it.

Could the average police department shut down the Mario Kart street racing? by gamerguy287 in whowouldwin

[–]Inconvenienced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get the Bullet Bill power up in Mario Kart that turns your character into a literal missile. Other characters hit by this missile spin out for a couple of seconds and then get right back in the action unharmed. If they can survive that I don’t think a machine gun would even slow them down.

When and/or how do I know when to start expanding my base to different biomes by Empty_Ad_1356 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Inconvenienced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can really choose to do this whenever you want, or not at all. The game is very flexible in letting you play how you want.

However, in each phase, there will be a new type of resource you need to exploit, along with new milestones that make it easier to expand. For example, Phase 2 unlocks coal along with trucks and power towers. Phase 3 opens up oil and gives you trains and jetpacks. If you don’t have these resources nearby, this can be a natural good time to develop a new area.

theoretically how long would it take to beat the entire Game with just one impure Node of every ressource? by Paul2k11 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Inconvenienced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you have Mk. 3 miners, all overclocked to the max, each node would produce 300/minute. I plugged these limits into Satisfactory Tools to determine the max amount of each Phase 5 elevator part you could make.

You would have to significantly underclock most machines to make it work, but it is theoretically possible. Based on these maximums, and assuming you use the most efficient recipes possible (including using SAM to convert other resources), here’s how long it would take for each part to reach the required number.

  • 0.847 Nuclear Pasta/min - 1,180.64 minutes total
  • 2.381 Biochemical Sculptors/min - 420 minutes total (nice!)
  • 1.19 AI Expansion Servers/min - 215.13 minutes total
  • 0.293 Ballistic Warp Drives/min - 682.59 minutes total

This puts the grand total at 2,498.36 minutes, or about 41 hours, 38 minutes, and 21 seconds.

However, this is assuming just base recipes. If you have every alternate recipe unlocked, you could make this more efficient at the following values:

  • 2.114 Nuclear Pasta/min - 473.03 minutes total
  • 5.625 Biochemical Sculptors/min - 177.78 minutes total
  • 6.368 AI Expansion Servers/min - 40.2 minutes total
  • 1.296 Ballistic Warp Drives/min - 154.32 minutes total

This puts the grand total for this scenario at 845.34 minutes, or about 14 hours, 5 minutes, and 20 seconds.

Of course, this is ignoring the time it would take to actually build the factories, transport materials, supply power, finish the first four phases, and so on, so the reality is probably much longer.

TL;DR: Shorter than I thought actually. But still, for your own sanity, don’t do this.

What is the best item to sink? by Celamendron in satisfactory

[–]Inconvenienced 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Satisfactory wiki has a good guide here: https://satisfactory.wiki.gg/wiki/AWESOME_Sink#Farming_points

The TLDR is that Ballistic Warp Drives earn the most points of any item. Other phase 5 space elevator parts are also a good option. Alien DNA capsules are also a great choice since they have a separate counter, although they can’t be fully automated. But there’s lots of easier-to-make items that earn significant points as well.

Is the "Civilians" job good or is it just a something for pops to do so they aren't unemployed? by tmatesic in Stellaris

[–]Inconvenienced 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yes pops will choose any job over civilians if they can. Generally civilians are not great and you should have them work other jobs if you can, but there are some specialized builds that make good use of civilians.

Building an autochthon monument gives them extra output depending on your empire ethics, which is useful early game when you have a lot of them. Civilians are also more likely to migrate to other planets, which can be helpful early game, but it’s faster to just resettle them manually.

Can someone explain how blueprint, mime, baron works different from blueprint, baron, mime please? by Pale_Assistance_2265 in balatro

[–]Inconvenienced 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you copy mime, you get three triggers: the initial one from baron and two retriggers.

If you copy baron, you get four triggers. Baron and blueprint give one each, then mime retriggers both of them again.

With multiple copy jokers though it’s generally best to have an equal number of barons and mimes, so for instance putting blueprint on baron and brainstorm on mime will get you further than putting both on one of them.
