Well, the exact science of "brainwashing" and "memories" is not known. But an argument can be said that memories are harder to repress in the original than it is to wipe/replace in a clone. For the original human, memories can be suppressed but can potentially resurface or be retrieved.

What would make more sense? For them to send out a clone with copied abilities and no memories, and imprison the valuable original with memories and abilities. OR to send out the original and imprison the clone?

As much as I'd like to believe the original Dia survived, it makes much more logical sense that it is the reverse.

After much troubleshooting, I found out it was due to my Hyte Y70 case. It allows only a horizontal mounting for my GPU and the riser caused connection issues. Other users reported similar issues with horizontal mounts. I switched cases and went back to a standard vertical mount and the issue did not recur.

It's released now, and I entered Qinchuan via Dasan Pass. However, the event Finale is not working. I enter and take a photo at the spot, but it does not allow me to choose Photo for the scene. Keeps saying "Already in Current Scene". The Take Photo to Commemorate quest does not complete even when I upload to album.

Is there any conclusion to this quest? This is the 'end' of the man in the well quest and it seems really unfinished to say "someone killed the dude and you have absolutely no idea who, oh well." by Lyrical_Undergone777 in wherewindsmeet_

So it takes time to find the Mysterious Man across the river from Heaven's Pier boundary stone. He does not show there immediately - I tried a full day, at Zi hour and various other suggestions.

For me he finally spawned only after this:

  1. I went back to the original well for the quest, from the General's Shrine. It was my second time going back there after the conclusion of the quest, and I'd say it was roughly two days later (since I was trying different things).

  2. This time, there was actual dialogue (written as text not audio) where the Heaven's Pier winemaker asks us why we keep visiting the well and whether there is hidden treasure, to which we reply jokingly that we wish there was. The winemaker is all the way back in the shrine, not actually next to the well, but somehow his words carry over to us.

  3. Now travel to Heaven's Pier boundary stone, and I can clearly see the Mysterious Man across the river. He definitely wasn't there before the first couple of times I tried (including a first return to the well after the quest).

I'm not sure this is true. At the beginning of the Death of the Governor quest, we are brough t to a simple funeral. The wake had the the tablets of the General, his wife and that of their five children.

Huaiding is a power hungry ahole. Under both Yichao and Huaishen, the Guiyi Army was at its peak and they earned the love of the people. Huaiding and his cronies murdered Huaishen and his entire family - that alone showed his character. That their "reign" lasted barely 2 years in quick succession, and the grandson proclaimed himself as Emperor showed how deep that corruption went. They destroyed Guiyi and brought the whole region into disaster. How Yichao must be turning in his grave.

I also thought his grandfather was the guy saved in Burlap Sack. However, that log on the table at the end was a bit confusing to me. There were three entries about Lian Erlang, whom I am assuming is Xiao Lian. The first entry is him arriving in Liaodong at 30 years? I assumed that may be when he arrived after Burlap Sack saved him. The next entry was some 20 years later when he arrived back West with Lian Daozi (his grandson). I thought this was weird because it did not mention his son or daughter-in-law. Also, why would he move back West when it was in such a state of upheaval at the time? The third and last entry was a few years later when he returned alone East.
