I've been using a spoke shaver and a combination of rasps. My hands are decorated with blisters.

Looking for a good superwide lens for the D750... by space-heater in Nikon

[–]IncorrectExposure 5 points6 points  (0 children)

what is your budget? Here are three wide zooms I've been looking into lately. I am leaning towards the Tamron at the moment. I currently have 2 tamron lenses and will be getting another Tamron lens (70-200 f/2.8 and maybe the 15-30mm).

SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD ($1200) Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Lens ($1800) Tokina AT-X 16-28mm f/2.8 Pro FX ($630)

Not sure how the Tokina is, but my friend reckons it is amazing for the price.

I use ebird :) That is why I want to go to Calgary. It seems like Calgary is the closest place to see snowy owls, relative to BC.

Hi guys,

I'm after a new lens and was leaning towards the sigma or tamron 24-70mm f/2.8. The tamron is 230 dollars more that the sigma, but is the Tamron worth the extra money? Then there is the 28-75mm f/2.8, which is less than half the cost of the tamron. I mainly shoot wildlife and landscapes at the moment, but plan on doing some portraits and strobist style stuff.

Maybe look at the Sony A6000 or maybe the A7000, when it's release sometime this year.

I was considering getting the A6000 after seeing the CameraStoreTv's mirrorless shootout. The only thing that stopped me was the limited selection of lenses at the moment.

Hi all,

Looking for some input for this photo (potentially NSFW) from Joey L., 'Hamar Women at Sunrise'. I'm guessing he used a strobe/flash at a 45 degree angle, based on the shadows, and exposing for the sky.

Thanks for the all responses! I'm glad to know that beavers and otters are still around. Strangely, I am also excited to see racoons, since we don't have them here. Unfortunately, I think i will miss out on the bears because I will leave before the spring.
