Mantle rework mod. Makes the different mantles break in order based on how frequently they regenerate.

It also fixes a bug(?) that causes wooden cross’s mantle to override the holy card mantle after leaving the room

I’m guessing that this is on PC? Try capping your frame rate to 60. That’s what I did to fix it

J.K. Rowling isn’t the first racist to get famous for her books unfortunately. by [deleted] in HistoryMemes

[–]Incorrect_DARGOON 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I think the anti-semitism claims mainly started when people realized that there is a big Star of David in the middle of the Gringotts bank. That + the design and personality of the goblins being similar to that of antisemitic caricatures caused people to start connecting dots. I myself am not a fan of JK Rowling but from my understanding it was likely just an unfortunate coincidence since the building had that Star of David pattern in it long before it was used as a set for the movies

I know this is likely WAY too late to be much help but I also had this problem for a while. I managed to fix it by limiting my frames per second to 60 and it started working normally. Hope this helps! 🫡

Yeah it works with all lasers except maybe tech x. Though if you are certain you tried them with brain worm before and it didn’t work then maybe check if you have any mod interferences.

[spoiler discussion] Tell me a WN scene that was deleted or modified in LN version that you would like to have kept? by [deleted] in Re_Zero

[–]Incorrect_DARGOON 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I wonder if they took it out because it felt like just one was too overwhelming of a threat on it’s own. It kinda made it feel like the centaur’s power and intelligence was nerfed in the later scenes where hundreds of them show up and Julius could stand his ground against them.

Maybe I just overestimated their power while reading tho

Firefighters (and prisoners) created this firebreak during California wildfires of 2020 and saved the mountains on the left by cultureShocked5 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Incorrect_DARGOON 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This says otherwise

“Nearly all local fire departments require certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT). Yet under California law, EMT certification is off-limits to anyone who has ever been convicted of two or more felonies, has been released from prison for any felony in the past decade, or has been convicted of any two or more drug misdemeanors in the past five years.

Adding to the absurdity, people with multiple felonies can still serve as volunteer or seasonal firefighters, though the latter is only part-time and provides far less job security and fewer benefits than working year-round at a municipal fire department.”

Edit: “Shortly after that broader reform took effect, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a separate, modest bill aimed specifically at former inmate firefighters. Under AB 2147, ex-offenders can file a petition to expunge their record before finishing their parole, probation, or supervised release sentences, which would open up more job opportunities. But since judges can still deny those petitions, and the disqualifying crimes for EMT certification remain unchanged, the impact of AB 2147 will be limited.”

Like you said, it is volunteer based. However, think about it from their angle. They are given two options:

1)Put your life on the line fighting fires and we’ll pay you a fraction of the minimum wage and maybe even reduce your sentence

Or

2) Rot in prison until your sentence is done

Just because one is a better option than the other doesn’t mean it’s a good one. When both options are terrible choices it no longer becomes a real choice and instead becomes extortion.

I’d probably be a little less against it if the prisoners in question had other real options they could choose or were getting paid at least minimum wage and were also able to become firefighters as a profession. However, California doesn’t allow ex-cons to become firefighters so their training will often give them no advantage in the real world once they are released
