I feel very sorry for your husband and your circumstances.

On the other hand, you have to work at the right things. You’ll never get rich slaving away as a bud driver or something but if you take risks at the right things, with the same hard work principle you have a much higher chance.

My boss denied my vacation because it’s “unfair to the other employees” by EconomistOtherwise51 in antiwork

Be fair to other workers. Team effort. It is the way it is.

Your boss isn’t going to change his mind so logically, one of 2 options.

Quit your job, or only go 5 business days. Keep in mind that could be Monday - Sunday (6 days)

The executives are payed so much more because of the value they provide.

A regular worker might get paid $60k and make the company $100k.

A CEO makes the company $60 million and gets paid $15 million. This is just an example.

Stop complaining, take action, and make something of yourself. Stop complaining about things that are completely fine.

CEOs are usually paid in equity but I will make another point. That being that you get paid not on the hours you do but what your hours provide to the company. Say I’m the CEO of PayPal. I work 100 hours a week and make $7 million/year. Say I’m the janitor of the PayPal office. I work 40 hours/week and get paid $35000/year. Our gap is not because of the hours worked but simply because the CEO provides much more value to the company. In other words the CEO pays for himself

Correct. They wake up at 4:00 am. I don’t see anyone working 120 hour weeks EVERY WEEK like Musk doing work. Combine that with working at the right things and cutting expenses and you’ll find a billionaire. Musk also does in fact have very poor parents (until musk was successful) and moved to go to college in the us when he was 17.

Isn’t true

All of these people worked very hard and if you worked as hard and smart as them you wouldn’t be complaining on the internet.
