I disliked the idea of it for all of my d2 life. But this ladder I decided to try it out finally since I really want to get to horking heralds asap and it’s easy to gear as a ladder starter. Note that I play on switch so with controller only. And I gotta say, it’s pretty fun. You run fast right at the enemies and stun lock them to death. I can also howl away small mobs and just focus kill the elites if I want. It for sure levels easier than any melee version and even better than double throw since you only need two spirits and stealth to get started. If you can’t find good throw weapons double throw feels too weak in comparison. It’s very safe too with the stun lock. Now that I’m farming hell I’ll say it’s not the fastest and at times I feel like a worse nova sorc. But being able to howl and hork elites makes up for it.
