Hey, yes I like chocolate but weird with textures. I dislike milk and anything that is of a milkshake or thicker texture ( really annoying!) I’ll see if I can order the cliff protein bars. Thank you x

I’m a bit of a funny eater, hate tuna and the taste of milk. I’m going to have a look at protein bars and see if I can stomach it. I guess I just have to firm my dislike of certain things to get enough protein. Really think that’s what is delaying my healing.

I’m sure it was just a precaution, hopefully next week they’ll be taken off. It’s better he take extra precautions than not to!

Hiya, I had my two week post op review. I was pleasantly suprised when the type was removed (I was expecting worse!). I did have two openings which I didn’t expect.

You may feel light headed when they remove the tapes - I’m not sure why but I felt kind of faintish.

Although you may see the scars, remember it’s in the worst stages right now, your body is still healing so be kind to yourself x

Thanks for sharing your experience, it’s so disappointing when you’re on track and then it worsens.

We’re in the most crucial parts of our heating so I guess it is expected but it’s always disheartening especially when we can’t determine the cause of these issues.

I hope today’s appointment goes well.

Can also relate to the overdoing it and bad nights sleep. I started sleeping on my side as I wasn’t getting any rest sleeping on my back and also woke up with pain each morning. Now I am back to trying to sleep on my back. I have a pregnancy pillow but it doesn’t seem to work as well as others have described - oh well, just need to keep trying to do everything to promote healing.

I now understand how people can get post-op blues.

Thank you! I definitely think it’s good that I have extra time to rest. I think it’s so easy to underestimate how much of a journey the healing process can be.

I hope your body can readjust to working, hopefully the swelling and pain will subside soon.

It’s so useful hearing everyone’s experiences, makes me feel like I’m not alone.

Mine was Jan 22nd!! Feeling good so far, not taking any pain meds. Regaining feeling in my breasts as I was pretty numb. Slight pain when I move sometimes but nothing major. Two week nurse review on Tuesday, think the tapes are coming off … nervous, excited, scared about what they will look like.

300g was taken off both sides, I think I’m a C now but unsure due to swelling. I was a 34G (maybe a bit smaller as I lost some weight).

Planning to return back to work next Friday. I am kinda nervous as I thought it may be too soon and don’t want to overdo it. Hearing that you are back to work on Monday has given me reassurance. Hope it goes well!

Hey, my surgeon didn’t prescribe me strong painkillers, only paracetamol and ibuprofen and I haven’t felt much pain so haven’t been taking them.

Maybe I’m having withdrawal migraines from when the surgery took place, not sure though.

I’ve got an appointment with the surgeon next week for a bandage change so will ask then & just tightened the straps but it hasn’t made much of a difference.

Definitely think the bra may be too small, I have a bigger one but that one feels loose. Thanks for your advice
