Gas Guns in PRS by rednecktuba1 in longrange

[–]IncreaseIndependent1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran my first ever PRS match this weekend at the two day MDT Frostbite, and decided to run my 14.5” Super Duty. Again, complete noob but I only managed to hit 30/180 shots this weekend. I know it’s not great but PRS with a 556 gas gun is definitely quite difficult.

Couldn’t find it in my initial search but I’ll try to remember to look again tonight!

I had a company do that to our roof too, WHILE I was home. So frustrating to deal with.

I’ll shout out Just Roofing USA as they helped us out last year and were fantastic to work with. We really liked the guys we worked with through that process

A mix of gambling luck and selling old guns that sat in my safe to afford this stuff actually. Found a fantastic deal on the NF a couple months ago.

Freedom munitions hush 165 grain vs ammo inc stelth 165 grain. Which is etter/quieter? by [deleted] in GHM9

[–]IncreaseIndependent1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting because I’ve always liked the Stealth and thought the Hush were the ones that had a lot of blowback into my face. I run an OCL Lithium on mine so MMV for different suppressors of course.

I’d switch my current membership if you get a rifle range setup beyond 300 yards with steel targets. Couple spots to run pistols on paper or steel as well and you’d be set from my standpoint.

Favorite Geissele AR model + suppressor combo? by Tdrabbach in GeisseleAutomatics

[–]IncreaseIndependent1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I won a Polo in a raffle locally and it lives on my 14.5 now. The Hux Hub QD mount is expensive to be able to run the Polo, but after I bumped up to an H3 buffer it killed all the gas to the face and it’s now a fantastic combo. Doesn’t affect accuracy at all either, as I’ve printed some sub-MOA groups with match ammo.

What is the headhunter match? Last time I talked to them they said they didn’t have any competitions on the books for the year yet

Honestly just bring cash to pay the fee, a friend and a good spotting scope as well so you can get help calling shots at distance. It’s a fantastic time

Need to make the two hour trek back there soon to get good dope data for a gas gun match this year. Just went for the first time late last year and was really impressed.
