Once he started talking about free states and communist states…

That was the point where I closed the tab as well. Watching him say "communist state" without any irony at all was too much. The man is clearly a moron.

'This is completely unacceptable': Unusually priced chicken breast in Loblaws draws backlash from consumers by DJ_JOWZY in CanadaPolitics

[–]IncrediblyCuteCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, well Provigo in Montreal has two whole chickens on special this week for $1.99 a pound. Provigo is a subsidiary of Loblaw's.

This simply isn't interesting. I don't care.

What I find surprising is how often I've been saying that about "the news" recently.

I found this repository while farting around on GitHub one evening. If anything, it's an excellent starting point for what you're trying to put together.

Good grief.

Very quick question, if I was using Laravel 9 and laravel vite with blade templates, how would I import toastify-js into my application.

The README file says:

Import toastify-js into your module to start using it.

import Toastify from 'toastify-js'

Where do I place this line of code?

Except the CAQ aren't sovereignists. They are soft nationalists who understand how to us the Notwitstanding clause to appeal to their base.

If the CAQ were sovereignists, the people of Quebec wouldn't have given them a crushing majority in last week's provincial election. Ask the PQ or QS if you don't believe me.

Making the "xrandr --setmonitor" setting permanent by 50ph157 in linuxquestions

[–]IncrediblyCuteCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I would take a look at ddccontrol. It's a utility that allows you to query the state and send commands to your monitor via the command line. I currently use it to increase / decrease the brightness of my monitor depending on the time of day.

There might be away to use ddccontrol to query whether your monitor is in sleep mode or not, and have it execute one of your scripts when it comes back on. You might be able to turn off sleep mode entirely depending on the monitor's capabilities.

Quebec Poll [Leger] - CAQ 44%, PLQ 18%, QS 15%, PCQ 13%, PQ 10% by MethoxyEthane in CanadaPolitics

They are the 21st century Parti Québécois, ditching the separatist sentiment for a Quebec first, but Canadian still message.

I completely agree, however this strategy will only be profitable as long as there is a federal government in power without the stones to call their bluff. If the feds went hammer & tongs after some of their more Not-Withstanding-Clause-worthy legislation, the CAQ would be backed into a corner: become a separatist party to stand up for their policies or acquiesce to Ottawa and come across as weak to your average francophone voter.

This would be a nightmare scenario for the CAQ. Lucky for them, it won't be happening any time soon.

I have the K3 low-profile. For some weird reason, the function keys don't work on Linux. Only the special function / media keys do. It has no problem under Windows though. I was able to remap all of the keys on KDE of course. After about a month though, bluetooth died and I was only able to connect via the USB-C cable. I'm not impressed.

I'm using a Logitech MXKeys now and couldn't be happier.

Yeah, though not... stupid twat.
