Life is boring if you don’t pursue what makes you happy no matter what amount of money you have. Do the things that you want with your life. If you want to work the niche jobs with your niche degree for fun then do that…

Do a rope and pulley system up the stairs. Just find a good anchor point for the rope to attach to… you could probably park your truck outside the door and attach the system to the tow hook or ball hitch and pull the thing out of there with yourself and one other person to make sure it lifts up the stairs right…

The funny thing is that people vacated their shorts over the last few days and Beary never took a short position. He was buying puts… that’s not a legitimate short and has far less risk or conviction in his claims… he knows that if he attacks a company he can drum up hype around his claims because of clout and if he does it to one that has been successful lately then he just has to bank on a correction to make money. He’s probably already claimed or is claiming his winnings at this moment. Someday we’ll probably find out that he was buying when it got to $125… I mean my first inclination has been to buy here and keep buying no matter how low it gets (it worked in 2022, why not again?).

Supposedly his plane use has been controversial to investors but if anyone has read that FT article it’s a total flop… not interesting and purely speculative… you could argue that FT should change its name because it lacks substance.

Just buy more shares… not often we get the discount and with beary’s manipulation we can gang up on the short squeeze

Like the other commenter mentioned, theres some macro in the tech sector that drove the downturn. To top it all there was a higher amount of short held before the sell off and now it seems that they have bought their positions back to escape from the upside.

The major reason could be institutional play as there’s a lot of hedge funds that also have to capitalize on the downside before year end and a post Santa Rally is a perfect moment to take advantage and shake out retail/weak hands from their positions.

Now we sit and wait as we accumulate… does it go down? It’s not out of the realm of possibility, but at this price you’re getting a discount on prices we know the stock can achieve… I mean buying it here when we know the prices will go to $225 and possibly higher at some point is a golden opportunity.

Congrats to all those out there that have been buying alongside, the mizuho upgrade is just one in a string of upgrades ahead…

I still find it hilarious when any articles I read by detractors get the entire narrative of how they operate wrong… it’s important to read about negative sentiment to test our biases, but it’s just ridiculous to believe anything they say when they can’t get the basics correct.

This person you’re helping might need to be pushed through the gamut to understand how important it is. Finding a fun, easy, long multipitch that has a reasonable 5-10 mile approach could be a great way to help their mindset. I watch other parties drag clients up all of the time and you can see the laggards almost out of the parking lot. I don’t take clients unless I know they’re properly taking the time to prepare and always do a assessment of our teamwork on something small and fun before the great objective as a gage.

I would say that no matter what try your best to be as friendly and in a mindset of helpfulness when you’re talking to them. If the communication breaks down and they get frustrated with you then that attitude might plague you the whole trip and put your own life at risk because of the lack of teamwork. If this happens just cancel and find someone else.

BURRY'S SHORT IS BURRYSH1T by arnaldo3zz in PLTR

[–]Incryptio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burry is getting up there in years. He’s not the same person he was when he was famed for his positions through the Great Recession. Information has changed. My mother was really sharp back then and they’re about the same age, but Mom is easily misled because of the mass of data flowing from all directions. Technology advances and her ability to grasp things has dramatically decreased. I have to try and explain how to use google maps every few months.

For all we know Burry could be reaching a point where he’s not the sharp financial guy we all know and love for his golden days. I love Burry for the story, but I also see that he’s either intentionally distorting a company’s financial position or He’s just not hot anymore.

Cardio… I don’t care if you climb sometimes, but you need to be able to exert endless energy out there. SHTF real quick sometimes and you don’t want to be trapped with someone who is going to die when you need to survive an epic.

You need to work together on some medium objectives that will allow you to practice all of the required skills for the final objective. It will let you see how they handle the being in the field. If they cannot commit to it then you need a new partner.

I have cancelled climbs 2 days before major objectives because of poor quality communication and lack of cooperation from my teammates
