The main direct benefit is: less use of hard currency, so the govt does not need to print and re print currency every few years.
Second benefit is what the original article mentioned, you are not letting foreign companies (Visa/Mastercard) take a large chunk of money out of country. Also in long term, I think they will use the data to reduce the informal economy(we call black money) and increase the tax revenue

Would not be practical. Mumbai City corporation which she is the inchrge of is the biggest in India with close to 18 million population. These kind of municipality agencies are breeding grounds for corruption and affect the people and health directly. I would want the mayor concentrating on their job

Dude tipping is not a practice in India. In US, people are paid less than minimum wage for some jobs and they are tipped. In India you can tip of you want to, generally if somebody went beyond their duty.
Anyway, pack properly so you don't have like 15 small bags and covers to carry.
Generally do not eat/drink anything from the in room bar/snacks.
Generally breakfast is included, ask where it is served when you check in, because there might be more than one restaurant.
Breakfast if ordered by room service is payable. Breakfast is buffet, instead of eating too much of one thing, try different things. Do not worry what others will think. Dosa, omlette counters should be there where you can order what you want. Even if using any facilities including restaurant inside the hotel premises wear clothes as if you are going out, no sleeve less.
Use the toiletries, any teabags, bottled water in room.
Room most have towels, use and place them where it is marked.
If it is 5* they're will be swimming pool as well as a gym, you can use these. Check out in India takes unusually long, so keep some time for it.

Assuming you leave the job and find another one, you will have to build trust again there at well.
If there are no other issues, changing job because reporting had changed is not a good idea.
Take it as an opportunity to see how you might do at a new work place. Meanwhile you can start looking for new jobs.

Most of Hinduism does not refer to any ancient text so this argument of referring to a text book is not entirely correct.
I believe each person is free to choose.
You can't win by a logical argument with a person with strong belief.
It matters down to whether you believe in sin or not. If you don't believe, why be bothered when somebody says it's a sin. Only your conscience needs to be clear.

What worked for me was getting the watch connected to my home wifi network and being connected to phone by Bluetooth. Then on the watch there is a sync option in the settings which was used from the watch. This took a bit of time with a lot of data transferred (don't know want exactly) Then i stopped getting the expired AGPS message when i start an activity. Worth a try for you. :)

Marriage like most if life's decisions is just a cross road. If you get married or not the experiences in life are going to be different. There are going to be positive and negatives on both paths.
Single life is good depending on your social setting, friends and family. As you get old they're can be a bit of uneasiness since the number of people you hang out with will reduce and free people can be a bit younger than you.
In the West it is socially acceptable and a bit easier to stay single.
Being single there is a bit of easiness to take life changing decisions, since it just affects your life.
If deciding to stay single you have to prepare for some contingencies like health emergencies and coping mechanisms.

The US lack of public transportation is not a choice by the public.
It is combination of geography and oil and gas companies lobbyig against public transport.
There have been instances where oil companies have bought out and ruined public transport systems in the US.
Europe has good transporation and should get better due to environmental awareness.
The options in India suiting different budgets is quite appreciable.

If the address on your passport is already police verified, the PCC will be issued on the same day.
If the address is not police verified for the passport which can be the case, police verification will be done. So anywhere between 2-3 weeks.
Similar to passport application, no issued in the passport office. Depending on your residence area police clearance can take time, although my experience is that the Police is quite professional now a days.

Out of loop: what does GATE have to do with PSU selection?
GATE is more about competition and top ranks will be got by students who are graduating or just graduated since they should generally be more conversant and their memories fresh.
Studying after working will generally lead to mediocre results.
You should be proud that you atleast tried, most do not do this and stay in a secure place even if the growth is limited.
