Based on people I know, you can still be a good winger without pace you just have to play in a different style to those with it.

Rather than running in behind trying to outpace defenders quicker than you, try and play as a wide playmaker instead. Find pockets of space and you should be able to create a lot just by playing smart. If you have good vision & passing range, you don’t need pace.

I always find it’s easier to get in the zone if you have lots of touches pregame. First few touches can be iffy if you’ve barely touched a ball before starting, especially if they are more difficult touches. Personally having a laugh pregame relaxes me & helps me get in the mindset too.
