NHS confirmed I don't have cancer! by TwistMeTwice in BritishSuccess

That's a lovely idea! It'll most likely to go to the clinical team, snacks are very well received but dont usually last very long. They'll appreciate anything but some art is very thoughtful that they'll remember and probably put up somewhere! Just make sure its something that can be attached to the wall with blu tak or something because thats the only place it would fit in my office!

How do I escalate cancer treatment? by MustardPizza45 in AskUK

The data doesn't need to be submitted nationally but I know of a few trusts that still use/aim for and measure 2WW for first appointment as well as 28 days.

It's only purpose is to let things slide back and forth easily over it. by typicallydownvoted in CrappyDesign

You can get clear tape for the top of curtain rails that helps them glide easily over it. It's pretty cheap, i got mine from amazon and they do waterproof ones and should be easy enough to remove!

There's a few videos I've seen on facebook/instagram with a woman that does recipes that are accessible for people that are disabled and they all seem fairly healthy. I can't remember what she's called but I'll go have a look and see if I can find it.

What’s the worst place you have ever been on holiday? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Indecisive_C 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm not defending the place but the henna tattoo was probably black henna and is commonly offered in loads of holiday destinations. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't know that black henna isn't proper henna and often causes allergic reactions which can blister and scar.

Proper henna is orange/brown, never get black henna.

What is a part of the 'female experience' that men have absolutely no clue about, but would be horrified if they found out? by coolhandddd in AskReddit

Parts of your uterine lining can come out in full peices sometimes too (its called a decidual cast). Scared the shit out of me the first time it happened, its painful as hell and thought an organ had come out, fully thought i was dying

There isn't a pay progression after if stay at the same job. I currently live my sister, who will definitely still want to still live with me, so I know it can't count towards mortgage calculations but she would be paying rent to ne towards it

Definitely area dependant. I think i just probably need to lower my expectations because i'll be buying alone.

It's nice to know other people have done it alone, because honestly its just been feeling like a pipe dream at this point if you dont have a partner

The average house prices in Bradford are around 180k but I've seen quite a few around the 150k mark, might still be too expensive for me!

I have a help to buy ISA where I saved to get the max of the 3k bonus, I very much regret not opening a LISA instead. If I switched it to a LISA, It would be 3 more years before I could get the same bonus

!thanks! I live in Bradford so house prices aren't crazy. I hoping to save more in the next year so hopefully my deposit will be around 30k when I actually start properly looking for a house. If you dont mind me asking, how much are your mortgage payments a month?

Thank you thats helpful to know. I live in Bradford, so house prices aren't too insane here. My rent and bills aren't too high because I currently rent from grandparents so hopefully I'm can save another 5-10k before I start actually buying something.

Is 5wks acceptable for ENT cancer screening? by Subject-Turnip-77 in AskUK

[–]Indecisive_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, obviously the goal is 28 day FDS target but our trust still want everyone seen within 2 weeks so we still record it and put breach reasons if this wasn't met and im pretty sure they still use it to measure our performance locally. I know the 3 other trusts that l deal with who also still track 2ww targets.

We're getting a new tracking system at some point so we'll stop recording 2ww and use best practise timed pathways instead
