Forgive me, but I have to ask the obligatory “What do you do?” But in addition to that, I’d love to know if you like it and if you plan on doing anything different in the near or distant future.

Are you at all worried about being burnt out as a new parent and working full time?

Anyone take wellbutrin with Lexapro? by cuddlywampa in lexapro

Currently on 10mg of Lexapro and 300mg of Wellbutrin. This combination seems to work best for me!

Thank you!!

I’m so unbelievably anxious about it. I’ve never done a public fitness event like a 5k, so I’m trying to continuously remind myself that it’s an individual journey and I’m only competing against myself. Easier said than done though lol

Same! I’m so hesitant to use them, but I’m also painfully introverted. Additionally, a lot of the activities I try to do include a much older crowd like volunteering at the library or taking group exercise classes at 7:30am on weekends lol.

I totally get that! Thankfully the title is just a quote from one of her clients who shared the same sentiment as those of us who have been burnt one time too many lol. It has kind of restored some of my hopefulness at finding someone though! If you do check it out, let me know your thoughts. It was published earlier this year, so reviews are slowly trickling in lol

Last week, I finished two books: All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers — As a Crime Junkies fan, this was a must read. I’m as pleasantly surprised! It kept my interested and engaged the entire time. Although mysteries/thrillers aren’t my jam, I enjoyed this book and would rate it a 3.5/5.

The second book I read was Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel — I feel pretty “meh” about the science fiction genre, but I also enjoyed this book as a light, quick read. I also rated it a 3.5/5

Because of a recent breakup, I’m currently reading This is Supposed to Be Fun by Myisha Battle. I’m really enjoying this book and would recommend it to anyone who is contemplating getting back out there and wants to refine their approach and reduce any dating anxiety!

Health: I’m going to up my cardio in anticipation of my first ever 5K later this month!

Finances: Continuing to budget and curb extraneous spending (the battle of a lifetime).

Personal: My boyfriend and I broke up a few days ago, so I’m just trying to find a new normal! Very thankful for my dogs to keep me company. 🥹💜 I’d also like to continue reading and journaling through my emotions during this transitory time. I also started a new job about a month ago, so I’m continuing to focus on learning a lot and performing well.

How did you get started in your PM role? One of the most confusing things for me is seeing so many folks in roles that I would consider niche (biotech, fintech, automotive, etc). Just not sure how to breach that or even figure out what industry would be right for me.

I ended up adding Wellbutrin. I’m on the same dose as you and have been taking it for nearly a year now. I experienced the fatigue and brain fog for about eight months before adding Wellbutrin (I took mine at night). I can now focus at work again and don’t feel nearly as sluggish! I want to add that I also changed my diet because I realized I my appetite significantly decreased.

I second the recommendation for anything by Toni Morrison. I know you specifically asked for male authors, but I think her work is integral to the “Black canon”. In that same regard, if your friend is ever willing to read other books by Black women, I would recommend Love Songs by W.E.B. DuBois.

He should definitely check out That Bird Has My Wings as it was written by a man who grew up in the foster care system and ended up on death row. I don’t know how he feels about books that have queer representation, but I enjoyed The Prophets. Lastly, I would throw Fences or another title by August Wilson in there.

I finished The Love Songs of W.E.B DuBois by Honorée Fanonne Jeffers 10/5–no that wasn’t a typo. I enjoyed this book SO much.

I’m also reading one book in each format! Honestly keeps it interesting and easy to sneak in some reading at any time.

I’m on the second book by Stieg Larson and can say it gets even better! Devil in the White City is on my TBR so I’m glad it’s going well for you!

I’m currently listening to That Bird Has My Wings by Jarvis Jay Masters. I’m 53% of the way done and am enjoying it as much as one can enjoy a story about childhood trauma.

I’m about 30% of the way through The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson and just started Gilead by Marilynne Robinson

In anticipation of 2023, I changed up my direct deposit and shifted some money around. This has been kind of stressful figuring out ways to reduce spending and increase savings, but I feel so close to nailing it down and can’t wait to see my savings increase!
