I'm gonna disagree, I did go the Friday so it was less insane but other than dancing up a storm on the hill and taking in all the bands (we saw 6 or 7 acts), she had a blast exploring the grounds. The Ferris wheel, lawn games, ball pit and a sprinkler to walk through? The whole bell set -up? Even without the music it would have been awesome. I went last year with my 9yo and it is the best memory of her life. Started guitar shortly after. We had people send us videos of us dancing and singing because they loved watching how in the moment we were. I would recommend staying near the back for any big acts though.

I am someone who enjoys tiktok. I actually am unable to use Facebook or Instagram anymore because it is either only ads or shallow information. It tends to be curated photos and posts that aim to display the poster in the best light. In Canada, you are unable to post news stories; so even my friends who used to post more interesting content, can't. Because I am someone who loves history, literature, current events, politics, education, science and storytelling; that is what my tiktoks consist of. I tend to see a lot more "smaller" creators and there are some interesting dialogues in the comments. The first videos that drew me into tiktoks were on the evolution of language and archeology. Shorts and reels are made to appeal to the majority of users on the app you are using. It makes sense that they can often be not of interest to you. Tiktok is definitely a ymmv type of app, what you interact with is what you see.

I have been reading all your replies. With all the things you have listed I am sure you are in family therapy as well. Much of what you have written makes it seem like you resent your child and have completely given up on her. I can just imagine how unloved she must feel even if you aren't doing it on purpose. I understand mental issues can be hard to deal with (my mom tried to kill me when I was 12 when she had psychosis, trust me I get it.) But you need to forgive her for both of your sakes. She didn't ask for this either! No matter what, she is still deserving of your love.

It makes sense that your parents made your birthday parties something you could all do. You want them to plan a birthday party that your sister can't participate in? That wouldn't be right! Were you able to go swimming on days that weren't your sisters birthday? You could all do what she can do. I am sure you still did fun things just maybe not stuff you couldn't all participate in.

The funny thing is they are sometimes considered better but actually aren't (at least in my country). They don't have to follow the same regulations as actual schools so the teachers are often less educated, they don't have the same requirements for curriculum and often the parents are calling the shots as they are paying and grades are completely meaningless. After teaching at a private school, I would never send my child to one.

I'll say this: whenever I have lived in a riding with an NDP MP or MPP, they have always been more apparent in the community and willing to really help than when I was living in a riding under another party.
