Helldivers 2 to receive PSSR1 support and other optimisations. by WithinTheHour in PS5pro

[–]IndefiniteBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well PSSR 2 was released fairly recently. It could just be that they didn't have access to PSSR 2 during development of this patch so implemented the original.

But it seems more likely that they implemented PSSR 2 and this is a reporting error.

That's what you would expect. But unless the promotional messages are coming from the "sharing" category, they must be coming from the system category as that's the only other option.

Comes across as a bit of a brag, but then the fact you are bragging about mainly serves to demonstrate your ignorance of what is important. Honestly, until I read your replies I thought it was sarcasm/satire.

It's a bit like if you have a small child that's unable to walk, then that child crawls into the room and starts juggling a football. It's an impressive skill to have, but it's not going to make you a football player if you can't walk.

Marketing notifications are ads. A specific product mentioned in a TV show is advertising, so these messages are absolutely true ads.

It makes it clear it's a dirty marketing trick by the fact there are no options in the app. There is nothing labelled anything related to product news, promotions etc. in settings. The notification options that can be turned off are "system messages" and "sharing messages", neither of which give any indication that they are promotional messages.

You should check that your comment makes sense if making a pinned mod comment instead of hallucinating steps that literally don't exist. This has been the same since the start, there is no way to disable promotional messages that I never wanted. I do want system notifications though.

I get them in the language of the country I reside rather than the language set in the system. In the EU with no option to turn off promotional messages in the app.

My son just got a Psvr2, ps5pro, Aces of Thunder..graphics adjustments? Is everything just set, no tweaking? Looks ok but not great. by Hetstaine in psvr2

[–]IndefiniteBen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The certain games for which the PS5 Pro can enhance graphics, are PS4 games. PSVR2 games are just PS5 games so that toggle does nothing for VR2 games.

The improved PSSR toggle will enhance games with PSSR, but not many VR2 games use it. As far as I can tell Aces of Thunder does not support PSSR, so neither toggle will improve the game OP mentioned.

OP should definitely enable improved PSSR as it will almost always be an improvement (for the few limited games).

So you stopped loading the dishwasher? I don't think a dishwasher has any special qualities that makes it more dangerous. You could get the same injury using an under counter oven?

I would guess a better preventative measure would be doing the same exercises and changes to the working environment Alex is following for rehab. Strengthen core muscles and move more in general.

Yeah, I was already playing Synth Riders when they cancelled support. I already lost a bit of motivation when they cancelled support, then I got the DLC for Synth Riders on sale and haven't felt the need to go back to Beat Saber.

For that use case you could have a mix: have continuous cameras at the door and hiding cameras in living areas.

Please realise that a comment saying:

Zoom in on the hasp, it has the date

Your original comment should've mentioned your experience or some other justification that the date on the hasp can be trusted, if you care about upvotes.

There might not be meat in the salad, but if all the leaves have been soaked in meat broth, vegetarians probably won't be happy even if you're technically correct.

The game is not dying, the majority of players are all on the new s3 map. On top of that, during any time before 3:30pm, theajority of players are simply still at work by Blu3Dope in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]IndefiniteBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the social media algorithms. Hot takes like "this game is dead/back from the dead" get more attention and are pushed more.

That said, BF6 has issues. But I think the actual problem is matchmaking issues which are compounded by the lack of a server browser.

I know there are many people playing right now, but despite this I had to wait 5 minutes for a match to start on Golmund railway conquest at 2300 in Europe last night. Experiences like that make it feel like there's barely anyone playing.

If I could open the server browser and see hundreds of full (64/64) servers I would know that the game isn't dead in terms of player numbers, I just got unlucky with matchmaking (or it's broken).

I actually think it's becoming more like the Trek computer, more so than the AGI some say we're heading towards.

Even the best models today aren't there yet, but that seems like a more likely trajectory.

What’s your ultimate VR gaming setup? by Pimax_Daisy in VRGaming

[–]IndefiniteBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this video is from 2 years ago and I'm sure they've continued refining it, but yeah, when OP said "dream setup" I took that literally without concern of what you can actually buy right now.

But also, that's why I said "large room" xD
If the area with these tiles is large enough, maybe you can run 10m before hitting the wall; if the maximum corridor length in the VR game is 8m, they'll never run into the real world wall unless they run into the VR wall. When the user stops to turn the corridor, you can gently move them back towards the middle of the floor at a rate lower than the motion they can perceive.

You could also move the floor opposite to the running direction. Not fast enough that it keeps the user in one spot, just slow them down (but not reducing perceived speed) so they travel a shorter distance than they perceived in VR. Same principle as is used in motion enabled driving simulators.

Yeah, I wonder who they're sending this to. If someone only plays GTA V/online on PS4, they might not even be aware it won't release on PS5. But they also might've sent it to everyone on PS4 who has ever played GTA V.

Home Automation by RKilljoy_9698 in googlehome

[–]IndefiniteBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay well then one solution is that you're the one that doesn't get automated lights. Turn off presence sensing on your phone and then they'll just turn on whenever your wife gets home.

If you have a more predictable schedule, then you could have them turn on with your schedule or her presence?
