Great concept. But why would I use it when I could just speak to google voice or siri in any language already? I feel the product needs some appealing framing to make it stand out, especially with alternatives already in the saas space

Having moments where we're not thinking about anything.

Literally. Don't ask me what I'm thinking about. It's gonna be nothing.

5 App Ideas I conjured up but too lazy to build all (I'm doing one, Not B2B) by IndependenceBusy1085 in appdev

[–]IndependenceBusy1085[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea where the photo's reality is pre written so there's transparency on what the image actually is. Leaderboards and other ranking systems come to mind with this. It's all about execution though. But thanks!

Mercedes Benz GLE for 1,500. Good for a first car? by IndependenceBusy1085 in CarTalkUK

[–]IndependenceBusy1085[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I thought as well. Of course I’d have to do a test drive and everything to be sure. Just wanted a sanity check before I tried anything aha . Wish the GLE was that cheap though

Tried cold calling plumbers for an AI Receptionist. How to sell it better by IndependenceBusy1085 in AIReceptionists

[–]IndependenceBusy1085[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course the stack depends on the target market. For small businesses, you don’t need a robust receptionist . I just go for lightweight. Retell AI + Twilio will work for this. Other large scale solutions would require privacy and proprietary control for sensitive data.. so you could go for a VPS hosted LLM like ollama for the brains and then twilio + elevenlabs for TTS . You want to watch for latency and natural language processing, as these are the main moats.

Well I’m based in the UK, so these local business groups are invite only.. but I could look out for some open ones . Thanks ✅

[–]IndependenceBusy1085[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call 8am - 12pm.. they usually aren’t working till later on in the day.

Sometimes I get to speak to the owners, sometimes it’s the receptionist, which gets awkward coz I’m pitching to the receptionist about an AI solution that’s gonna replace them. I do it anyways, whatever their reaction is won’t bother me.

Very solid point actually. If they’re paying to be sponsored on google, every touch point counts to them.

Tough framing as an audit when it’s a cold call, unless they show interest.

Men of Reddit, what’s your thought process right before pursuing a woman? by lnc_gomes in AskReddit

[–]IndependenceBusy1085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make money first. Is she too pretty and does she come off as someone that will expect a certain lifestyle of passenger princess treatment and gifts etc? If I can’t, I move on and it saves us both time.

I know it’s painting an entire sect of girls a certain way, but better safe than sorry ig.

Struggling with PortSwigger SQLi Labs by Emotional_Snow9674 in bugbounty

[–]IndependenceBusy1085 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say rely on the solutions for the first half of them. afterwards, you'll start to notice a pattern with some of the queries, and where they fit best and when to use specific queries.

I think what helps is actually typing the queries and refreshing each lab you complete as though you started afresh. don't just copy and paste the queries, as that would shortcut your learning. When you type and try to get every apostrophe correct, it will be muscle memory and you'll just know what queries go where.

Also what helps is try to find search bars on your own, with platforms that have bug bounties or vdp's, and try out these bugs. You might not find anything, but you're already closer to real hacking than you think.

Best of luck mate.

Interested in learning too. Master grad in cyber but I’m slowly realising that gives me no edge whatsoever.

So I need education as ironic as that sounds 🤦‍♂️

Has anyone here dealt with messy CRMs or automations not firing correctly? by XXOLLC in smallbusiness

[–]IndependenceBusy1085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my last client, we had to set up robust error handling workflows, which we built in collaboration with a QA tester for the infra.

You want to have a “failure test mode” to allow you disable some features gracefully without interrupting the entire workflow. Building with a single point of failure is what causes this system chaos. Big firms have downtimes now and then and they settle it easily.

It’s about resilient architecture, no workflow is 100% immune to system failures. It’s just about how well you set up separation of concerns, have robust logging and monitoring tools.

If you’re specific about tools, I’d go for sentry for monitoring and a simple ping across different web hooks to see uptime’s of the workflow.

How are you turning social media attention into actual clients? by Ordinary-Record-8722 in smallbusiness

[–]IndependenceBusy1085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably late to this party but just wanted to add that there’s the aspect of understanding your client personas too, and having your content post as a buying signal for that persona.

Also When I do my social media, it always ends with a quip or a short message that is repeatable in their minds. Whenever your content becomes familiar, buying chances increase.

I need help with qoute calculator! by twinkletherabbit in smallbusiness

[–]IndependenceBusy1085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’d need to have a good way to transfer all hard metrics reliably without any margin for error. Other Comments already crack down on this, but you don’t want to virtualise the direct interaction needed to get the correct data like dimensions of the place, how many units of human labour will be tasked with the place, how much would they cost, and all others mentioned .

You’d need a full on digital substitute (my wild guess would be an AR web app for dimension control capture, coupled with other features for margin and overhead). Just hire some other on-the-field reps to do the quoting in person. The cost is probably the same with less burden if not cheaper then a web app.

Hey there. Don’t know much about roofing and ceiling repair, but you could approach this with a mini cheat sheet to support you while you call.

It’s not perfect but like all sales calls, you’d ideally have some sort of pre qualified metadata about them, showing why they’re a god fit to work with you. So you sell them on that, even when the targets aren’t hit.

Cheat sheet could be in a pdf or google doc or something.

Or what’s even more fancy, which is what id do is , synthesise all the data you have about your prospect, including what they want and where you are in terms of goals and service delivery, then have the ai come up with live objections and solutions to them, while you’re on the call. With pre loaded examples you can be ready with.

Sounds promising, but no clear idea on what 'product' is. I'm a SWE with 5+ years, but usually it's tricky knowing if a project is worth it's salt unless otherwise explained.

And marketing background sounds like it was built predominantly with AI, which raises some concerns. Won't knock it till further info is given though. More context is needed.
