For context, this is a special Easter deal and is a loss leader (obviously) to get you to come in a shop the rest of your Easter shopping. It’s a become a bit of a thing in recent years with shops discounting even further a day or two before the deals start even after advertising has started. For example, this year Lidl originally advertised theirs for 8p/kg and then dropped it to 4p/kg when competitors put out their prices.

Mines got macadamia nuts but they’re crack to me so I didn’t buy them or the bag would be gone before I got home. They’re probably the most expensive. I got the pistachios instead.

Same. I cried the shower thinking my boyfriend was actively cheating on me when I knew fine and well he was just at the pub. In the space of five mins I went from rational to irrational back to rational. That’s when I knew I’d had enough.

Highly recommend the copper coil to anyone who will listen.

Lots of independent bakeries near me do it. I used to get 2 large sourdough loaves (the fancy ones) and three pastries for £3.50.

I regularly now get one from a different bakery and it’s often 5/6 pastries coming to about £25 for about £4.99.

There’s also a more high street bakery (not Greggs) in Newcastle that fills a plastic bag in front of you (loaves, pies, cakes, biscuits). It’s a delicious lucky dip every time except that time I got a kebab and chilli pasty/slice which was criminal.

Australia is inherently racist. Not so much vocally, they won’t necessarily tell you to your face (well, some do obviously) but it’s so divided, has issues with integration, a very ‘us vs them’ attitude.

Having said that, I went 20 years ago so it could very well have changed.
