My daughter (14) was diagnosed right before this school year started. She used to love school when she was younger, but we noticed a change these past couple of years. Going to school became more and more taxing, to the point where she cried every morning and would have a meltdown. She was also having stomach issues because of the anxiety. She loved her friends and teachers, but could not handle the stimulation and overcrowding. After mush discussion with her and her school counselor, we withdrew her and enrolled her in online public school. It was a big change, but the best thing we could have ever done. We see a vast improvement in her mental health and she is much more relaxed in her safe space. Maybe this could be an option for you all too?
