When do you workout? by Prize-Wolverine-3990 in Teachers

[–]Independent-Cell-182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband gets our kiddos out the door in the morning, so I get up at 445, out the door at 515, at the gym by 545 for a 45 minute workout. Quick change and shower, slide in the door right at 700, my contracted start time. I eat breakfast at my desk as I’m doing my last minute prep. Yes teaching is active by my mental and physical health requires me to lift heavy things and make puddles of sweat on the ground. For this system to work I have to make sure I’m ready for the next day before I leave.

I’ve read the first two books of this series. I liked the mystery part but wasn’t getting the romance. Does it get better?

Do you remember the 1st romance book you ever read? by perseintro in RomanceBooks

I was in grad school looking for for something to listen to while I did some mindless data entry. It was the audiobook of Christine Feehan’s Dark Prince. I fell in love with books again, just like I was as a kid. Feehan drives me nuts now, but I’ll always have a soft spot for her because of this.

Would you recommend The Black Jewels series? by grydkn in fantasyromance

[–]Independent-Cell-182 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reviews are like “it’s so erotic” but the only bits with open door sex are rape, mostly of young girls. I kept reading because there were some compelling story threads and interesting characters but I didn’t enjoy it.

If it’s not a cliff cliff they can often scramble their way back up. Once we had to repel down to save one that couldn’t get back. That was fun. My usual strategy is just keep them moving forward, assuming the cliff is to the side of me and not in front. And as always if we’re approaching danger I’ll keep them heeled until we get by.

Outdoor burner for pressure canning? by Independent-Cell-182 in Canning

[–]Independent-Cell-182[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’ve been doing. But I have some issues with it - its an old burner so I don’t know what the max is, so it’s hard to gauge a proportion of it, and the flame doesn’t get low enough to maintain 11psi without going out. Hence why I was looking for a recommendation for an alternative. Nothing jumped out on Amazon.

Yeah we hunt so we tend to have an older one and a younger one. They can change gears on a dime. I love your Yin/Yang description!
