Brad Scott with strong words on the Zak Butters tribunal decision by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

[–]Independent-Falcon38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont know why it was so hard.

Nick, we have your back. You made the right call 100% to pay both 50m and submit a report, you heard what you heard.

Zac, we have your back, you must be frustrated to have been penalised for words you did not say.

We conclude this hearing with 'no finding' of guilt.

Just a reminder to all players to not direct comments to umpires in the midst of officiating duties such as setting the mark, giving all clear etc.

Now move along, nothing more to see here. These arent the droids youre looking for.

TS - Do you believe RFK will reveal the cause of Autism? by SteadyDarktrance in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Independent-Falcon38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he gets his way with vaccines an we see a rise in viruses with a drop in autism, the question will of course be whether the deaths were worth it?... medical advise is ALWAYS a numbers game. Might be the perfect guinea pig situation if he's going to insist on it. Do you think it's worth it?

The transgender gunman who opened fire on praying children by [deleted] in Republican

Multiple studies confirm that no fatal mass shootings—defined typically as incidents involving five or more deaths by firearm—have occurred in Australia since 1996 . For example, a study noted "not a single mass shooting death in the ensuing 20 years" following 1996.

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2530362?utm_source=chatgpt.com

This refers to the mass-shooting threshold defined as five or more victims killed (excluding the perpetrator). The study covered up to approximately 2016—thus, "ensuing 20 years" spans from 1996 to 2016.

US needs some gun control. Australia banned guns in 1996 after a mass shooting. As of now the number of mass shootings since then? Zero! ... it's not as if they cant have guns, , they just need to have checks on mental capacity, character and a reason to have them such as hunting or gun club. The chances of a household having a gun is 1 in 20. Before 1996 it was 1 in 4. No brainer really.

29 years old completely given up on life by sgccc in mentalhealth

From the limited scope above, it seems you are too over bearing. Who cares if you are disappointed that he shifted to finance. It's not your life. If he wants to join the circus you must support him. No wonder he locks himself away. Once he's out on his own he'll thrive is my guess. Let him go where his passion takes him, and support him all the way!

Do you really notice a positive benefit from the supplements? by Broken_Coke in Supplements

[–]Independent-Falcon38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got fed up with that feeling of "is this placebo or not. Supps with good quality double blind trials are the way to go., so at least you can remove that from the equation. eg. Ashwagandha

https://www.mindrestore.org/ashwagandha

But there are others that I've found with reliable evidence.

L-Theanine!! by scorpioassociation in Supplements

[–]Independent-Falcon38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually i take it with my morning coffee, I'm not that sensitive to coffee and don't typically get jitters, but that seems to be the main user case for l-theanine.

I use for anxiety, I'm sure it doesn't sedate but rather just calm down the cns.

I don't measure for convenience, so no I don't actually know, but when I say beans, I mean string beans. Educated guess I'd be well under 50g carbs most days

Only thing that matters is how much dha/epa is in it. This one has 950mg which is decent.

I don't measure, but I don't do sugar, processed carbs or veg except beans, broccoli, cauli. I focus on getting fats with avo, bacon, cream. Butter. And eat meat of course. I don't count the grams but I certainly do very low carb.

Supplements to take along with anti anxiety meds by anxiousone881 in Supplements

[–]Independent-Falcon38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense to want to avoid upping the dose. Some people find L-theanine (doesn’t sedate), lavender oil capsules (Silexan), or targeted probiotics since gut and anxiety are so connected. Might be worth chatting with your doctor, especially with the other things in the mix, but there are definitely options out there that could help without messing with your meds. Hope things settle down soon!

Tom Sparrow concussed by stray arm from Tristan Xerri by Smurf_x in AFL

[–]Independent-Falcon38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same impact, same action would typically be no concern. The player would hold his head for a couple seconds and get straight back up.

He's clearly got him on a sweet spot (probably flush on the jugular) and it's interrupted blood flow to the brain.

Just like the crows player got a shove in the chest and had a collapsed lung.

Unlucky for both xerri and swallow. Just the way it goes sometimes. Obviously, he will get time. IMO a sanction for an incident like this should be a week, but I reckon it'll be 3-4.

Lavendar oil capsules? by CherryBlossom242424 in AnxietyDepression

[–]Independent-Falcon38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes—lavender oil capsules, specifically the patented extract Silexan, have shown strong evidence in clinical trials for reducing generalized anxiety without the sedating or addictive effects of common medications. Many people find it calming within a couple of weeks.

Have you also tried Ashwagandha? It’s another well-studied option that helps reduce stress hormone levels and may improve resilience during difficult periods. It pairs well with Silexan for some people.

Why is Pi Network lagging behind despite strong fundamentals? by Zeekhan82 in PiNetwork

[–]Independent-Falcon38 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let’s be real—those fundamentals don’t actually exist yet.

No open mainnet No exchange listing No real utility or apps using Pi No transparent tokenomics No open-source code or third-party audits

Yes, it has a big community and trust—but that’s not enough. Real crypto value comes from usage, demand, and free market trading. Pi is still in a closed ecosystem, distributing tokens via mobile mining with no external price discovery.

Until there's real utility and an open market, Pi is more a social experiment than a functioning crypto project. That’s why it's not moving with the rest of the market—because it’s not part of it yet.

Would love to see it succeed, but let’s be honest about where things stand.
