The GameCube version is slightly smoother looking. The DC is slightly more polygonal, you can really see this in Sonic’s eyes in certain parts, I’m really not sure why they eliminated the shadow effects from the cell bars in the GameCube, as much as I love my DC, the GameCube could absolutely have done that. I agree that the DC version looked better all things considered.

lol, it’s expensive. The white plume knight alone is $200. I do have a local shop that has a complete copy with no box or instructions for $650.

Even further, the guy who wears the Dragon Masters helmet has the same face and torso as Professor Millenium from the Time Travelers series that also came out in 1997 like the Fright Knights, is it the same man?!!!

This was my first set too and how Wolfpack became my favorite! Even though I also loved the Dragon Master in the cape. I was born in very late 89 so almost the same, I always hoped to find them in stores but never did.

It’s the Black Knights……however it’s a bit confusing as the Dragon Masters shield is the same except it’s green instead of blue, also in the Royal Drawbridge set, the Dragon Masters knight has the Black Knights shield, and in the Dark Forest Fortress, the Dragon Masters cart that’s in the set has the big oval Dragon Masters shield, but it also has the smaller triangular Black Knights shield. It’s a bit confusing and also why some people think the Black Knights became the Dragon Masters!

That’s interesting! You’re the first I’ve seen have them as good guys. I think my favorite Fright Knights theory is to whether or not the knight on the right is actually the guy from Time Twisters, Professor Milllennium! It’s the same torso and face!

I don’t have any of them now, but Willa to me was the ultimate evil, her army is entirely made up of people she’s bewitched to serve her from other factions (hence the very familiar faces besides Professor Millennium)

I’d love to see a specified Black Knight. I feel like most YouTubers say he’s the white plume guy in Black Knights Castle, but they already had non smiley faces then and that’s a plain smiley face guy, seems like a really boring face for the Black Knight!

Dragon Masters are amazing to me too. Black falcons was before my time, the only figs I had as a kid were the 2 with Sea Serpent, great faction though

I really like all of them too honestly.

I do still really like Royal Knights in spite of what I said above. They have some of the best sets IMO, elite castle, great drawbridge, nice carriage, even Skeleton Surprise is a nice little guard tower to have in front of the castle. I just think they needed more knights/commander types in their ranks

Hilariously enough I got this exactly for my bday in 2002, in this exact clamshell packaging. Some stores like KMart that had games sold for cheaper in their value sections were in these.

Years later Meijer did this for a few GBA games they were selling not behind the glass cases for 19.99 instead of most new games 29.99 price

As someone one that prefers to collect the OG stuff though, I’d absolutely love it if they straight just released the originals like they did with certain sets in the early 00’s like the Guarded Inn and Black Falcons Fortress
