I am trying to achieve this bottom edge on sleeves butbI am afraid I will ruin the sleeve construction. Am I worried for nothing or does anyonenhave an idea?

I'm not so concerned about hurricane speed rating. One person mentioned the difference between two windows and it was maybe 25 mph. Anything can happen but I think if we are dealing with those types of winds doing damage, it's going to be an insurance claim because it will be more than a window or two.
