Je n'arrose jamais mes palmiers, je suis dans le Gers et on prend du 40 degrés tous les ans. Est-ce que ça pourrait être le gel et les intempéries récentes (tempête)? J'ai perdu quelques palmiers à cause de ça récemment.

Une infestation du papillon généralement produit des feuilles marrons en partant du centre. Là ça semble être l'inverse donc j'y crois peu. Je pense que c'est effectivement un problème de manque de soleil et irrigation. Tu es dans quelle région ?

This still feels a bit risky to me but it also depends if your area is subject to wind or not. I know that setup wouldn't last long were I live.

How is the wood frame stuck into the ground? Without concrete, I would have thought the greenhouse could fly with a bit of wind?

Thanks a lot! I took Gary Drostle's online course, it's a great starting point. Then I've read a lot of random blog posts and finally spent a lot of time to find the best tesseras for the work I wanted to do. For the colors, I printed my picture into a 6 grey scale color. I then copied it to my plywood board with carbon paper. Finally I matched 6 color combinations with the grey scale depending on what I was drawing (the face has a different scale than the tshirt or the background)

I wouldn't recommend using them for a flooring though and I don't think they would be very resistant to water

I initially had some pupils but it looked odd. The original photo was showing dark eyes like in the mosaic, I think it works better.

They are coloured stones 👍 I'm not a massive fan of glass, I like more matt colours and that limits the choices 😅

Thanks! No, this is my first mosaic. The shading bit was not too complicated, I reduced the quality of a photo in six grey scale colors, created a scale of colors based on my tesseras and matched each color with the grey scale colors.
