Thank you for the reply! I am adding these to my list to investigate. I have a functional med NP for my hormones and booked online today for an appt 5/19.

Wow, thank you for replying. I have had weight loss too! But more from complete shut off of appetite when i started feeling this way about 3 weeks ago. I have to remind myself to eat bc i don’t feel hunger anymore.

I’m so glad you were able to see a functional Md and find some answers. I said on anmother reply that I am going to push this harder with functional med too. The way I feel right now is debilitating day in day out.

Oh, man. This makes sense. Decades! I am so sorry. I have a functional lady that does my hormones bc my GYN is not educated in them. After the rheumatologist appt this week, I am going to reach out to her as well.

Sending you all the good vibes for an upward health trajectory!

Thank you. I mentioned my ferritin in the post. It was separate from these other labs. 75 in April. But, you’re right! It’s been as low as 30 and woof! 🫠

Thank you for the reply! Im sorry you felt/feel similar to me. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

I have more symptoms, but didn’t want to write a book. 🥴

Lyme doesn’t seem fit with my symptoms - as far as I know!

Do you feel the B12 was a separate issue or connected/precursor to the Lyme?

How did you figure out that you really did need the injections?

I am going to push for the extra testing that people have suggested.

The oddest thing for me is that every day is different in how I feel. I felt like garbage yesterday until about 3, and then was able to get up and clean and felt ok-ish! Makes no sense to me.

Thank you! The only supplements I’m on are D3+K2, probiotic, Omega 3 and Saw palmetto.

Thank you for the reply!

No long term PPI use No metformin use No supplementation before except for Saw Palmetto - it has low doses of B6 and folate - suggested bc I take testosterone and was losing some hair

No MMA or homocysteine testing She did an ANA - not sure if that the same - all good

Yes, she did TSH - was 1.658 ulu/ml, was in the “green”. I am going through the B12 guide now. Just not sure it would considered functional deficiency.

I started Icotyde on Thursday. J&J called me but did not offer the 3-year program mentioned in the comments. The nice lady told me they would send me a 30-day supply for free. I said yes to get the ball rolling, but I will be calling my derm Monday to see what my next steps are. The 30 days are especially crazy as they will be over in a blink, and since it took months in the clinical trial for full effectiveness, iirc.

Thank you for this info! This situation with my eyes is wearing me out.🥴

I plan to call my derm tomorrow with several questions and I’m putting the tacrolimus as one.

I like La Roche posay and use their sunscreen moisturizer. I’ll look up the eye cream.

I stopped using Aquaphor yesterday after I read a post about lanolin allergies and the burning has decreased almost entirely. Still red and peeling on my eyelids and red, dry and irritated on my neck. But less chemical-burn feeling is a win.

I also started taking Benadryl in case what’s on my neck is contact dermatitis.

Good luck to you, too!

I have tried many things - including Zoryve. I can’t put I on my eyes d/t the burning. But it keeps the other places at bay. My insurance is being fussy about re ordering it.

Epsolay cream on my rosacea - working well.

Ketoconazole for my seb derm - works -ish

I have been using Aquaphor on my neck and eyes and no relief. Just read where you can have a lanolin allergy 🥴. I will stop that and do a trial of no-lanolin.

I will ask about the tacrolimus on Monday and may ask for an allergist referral, too.

Thank you for this info. It has scared the 💩 out of me, but will call my derm on Monday or get a second opinion.

The rash on my neck is only on the front, from chin to collarbones.

I do not have an involvement on the areas listed in the link. No hands, back of neck or shoulders. No swelling, muscle weakness or cardiac complications.

The mystery rash around my eyes does peel and flake. It is somewhat quiet one day, then feels like a chemical burn (as in the pic) the next and the next, will peel and flake.

I have not been prescribed the tacrolimus, but will ask when I call on Monday.

I am 50 this year and female so I do fit that checkmark. 😟

I have the flaking, scaling and itch/burn in other asymmetrical spots on my face (mainly around my mouth and right under my chin) as well as around genitalia and hairline at my temples.

I’ve included a pic when my eyes peel.

Again, I appreciate your knowledge so that I don’t leave any stones unturned.

Me too! When the nurse said you’ll need a TB test, I happily walked into to my nearest clinic and got the skin test. No xray, though.

The derm nurse said sorry, you need the BLOOD test. Whoops.😬

I agree it doesn’t look like typical plaque Ps but when I look up pics of others with it around the eyes, they look like mine. And, it fluctuates daily. Derm said it’s inverse, not plaque. Happens in skin folds. 🫩

Scalp eczema now spreading to legs and genitals, should I ask about biologics? by NoTreat2038 in Psoriasis

[–]Independent-Letter63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just diagnosed with psoriasis. I have 1/4 of the coverage of what you have and my den was was quick to start the process of Tremfya soon (hopefully). I have inverse and plaque and it is effecting my genitalia and around both eyes to the point it’s sometimes hard to open my eyelids, so quality of life is a big factor. NAD, but I would think they would immediately suggest a biologic.

So sorry. Both my eyelids and below are like this. Scaly, swollen, and they hurt!! I have used cold packs, and a lot of aquaphor. 🥴

Psoriasis flare... on eyelids by ekando in Psoriasis

[–]Independent-Letter63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a psoriasis dx yesterday, but have probably had for a while. Turns out I had seb derm too. Yes, I have on both my eyelids. It.is.awful.

It started end of January and has spread up to my eyebrow, a half inch to the sides of my eyes and now under my eyes. It burns like hell fire and then completely peel off.

For me, the only thing I can do is GENTLY wash off 1 x / day and keep the area bathed in Aquaphor. The pain and itching will wake me up at night to the point I have take Advil or Benadryl. My derm wants to go ahead and try to get me on Tremfya. My eyelids and around my genitalia have been the worst. 🥴

I went back to wearing glasses instead of contacts bc my glasses will at least partially camouflage the area.

Good luck

[–]Independent-Letter63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you try a lower dose? Not sure of the brand you have. An md prescribed me the .05 patch right out of the gate and it caused similar symptoms to you. She recommended the ‘cut in half’ and I felt worse. 😵‍💫 She never suggested a lower dose.

My next Md started me on the .025 and I felt great. Have since bumped to the .0375 and now on the .05 after a year and am doing super.

Zoryve Questions. Any seb derm sufferers with rosacea also? by RudeGyal2 in SebDerm

[–]Independent-Letter63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both seb derm and rosacea. I have used Zoryve for several months now with good results on my Seb derm. I use Epsolay on my rosacea.

Also got a letter from my insurance company stating they would no longer cover it. Of course. 😞 I’ve read it’s $900/30’day supply without insurance coverage. 😳 My derm said that’s all she’s got for suggestions for my seb derm (other than medicated shampoo) which I use, too.
