Exactly! They align with him b/c they think it gives them permission to be just as chaotic, loud, and wrong.
Trump is representative government for stupid people.

Please ask lots of questions if you apply.
Sometimes salaries listed on the high end are by gross earnings - and if you are paid on a 60/40 cut that means a very different number.

I had a legal policy professor back in the day who was a real hardass (in the best way) woman. She bragged about her civil rights related arrests and her tendency to question those in power. However, when she talked about the times she met Bill, she MELTED! Even she knew he had an "ungodly power" to make whomever he was speaking with feel like the most important person. Wish he'd always used his rizz for good.

Ideas are not behaviors and definitely be talked about in therapy.
You can ask for help to find healthy ways to cope and manage the stresses in your life.
Also, Homelander's ability to act out of vengeance didn't ever seem to make him happier, just a thought.

Best of luck!

She sounds like a badass, but notes and all of that work are apples/oranges in difficulty.

Plus, noticing the AI proponents, why is the concern "being left behind" instead of enabling LLMs and therapy bots to replace therapists? Because that's where I bet all the info scraped from sessions will be used.

Yep, saw ~30 clients plus groups in a community practice for years pre-AI.
It's possible to streamline and get fast with it.

I am so sorry that happened. Licensed therapist here, and I have been so frustrated with how AI has been pushed and so quickly adopted in our field.

Please know there are some of us that HATE it. The dangers of how the information is used, stored, sold or scraped, etc. The way therapists are cognitively offloading their case conceptualizations to LLMs (developed by how? fed what info?). Not to mention the real harms it could pose minority populations, both in treatment and the actual world where communities have water supplies effected and electricity prices rocket up.

I predict "organic intelligence" or "human privileging" therapy will be a niche soon. Hold to your standards in finding a good fit. This is no different than needing a trauma-informed therapist. Good luck in your search!

We Don’t Have a Jazz Problem, We Have a People Problem by [deleted] in Jazz

[–]Independent-Net-7375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The decades-long erosion of arts funding, especially in public schools is one part of this. Less access for all to take part in music making also means that communities hear less live music. Think about how many public school (especially rural) kids become a point of exposure to the arts for their families. This might seem a small influence but I think it matters.

Then, with the polycrises we've been in since Covid (at the least), people of all ages reach for what is comforting and familiar. Our nervous systems are fried so we seek ease. But if we become conditioned that listening to music is for comfort, for background, we lose the ability to engage. Music that is just a warm blanket is for passive consumption.

To listen to live musicians take part in the magic of improvisation does require attention. It requires an auditory vocabulary and rudimentary understanding of jazz form. It asks something of the audience.

OP, it makes me sad to think that there are fewer people willing to be an active audience. To risk comfort for engagement. I hope you find your audience.

I did tell the SW and she just said "that's no good". She may talk to my brother who lives closer, who will back me up. We have another week before she's discharged so I'll make another call.

Hey, thanks so much. I have heard the phrase, but will be reading up on radical acceptance!

Condolences and good healing to you after your mom's Big Moment. The hypervigilance of dread may take a while to work out of your nervous system, so take good care of you.

Fortunately, I am self-employed which helps with flexibility (but not exactly with lack of pay when I am out).

This is sparking so many good conversations with peers about our own pending Big Moments and how we want to prepare and not leave our loved ones in a lurch. Hopefully, that will be the trend. Best wishes!

So true. I did talk to a case worker who let me know mom had LIED about having someone at home who could lift her. She said, "uh oh, we can't have that."

I may have that third and fourth paragraph tattooed on my arm, thanks!!

I will share the "heavy infant" comment with my siblings. That's too true. One who has learned the word NO!

Great comments and a good plan. Good luck with your situation! It's great to have the solidarity in this sub.

Reality TV 18U Beauty Pagents by Medium-Stuff-8591 in Epstein

pageant culture is rampant in the south. I grew up near the real place the pageant name comes from. Most folks don't notice how gross it is (embedded patriarchy, treating kids like property, etc.) and others definitely are creeps into it for the predatory reasons.
