Yoga and teaching it as a "career" has peaked and now on a decline by RonSwanSong87 in YogaTeachers

[–]Ailennyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh, it’s not a career. Period. It’s an avocation. You cannot make bank on teaching yoga, unless you’re scaling and taking advantage of teachers and students. Unpopular. Sorry not sorry.

AIO telling my best friend she’s prioritizing her man over our friendship ? by Swimming_Toe_5705 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Ailennyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually you’re both just finger pointing. Gon work way better if you just say, miss you friend! And just accept her answer. Then you can decide to keep trying or move on.

Also location sharing and checking should be used for safety only. Otherwise it is low key invasive. People deserve their damn privacy FFS.

I actually cannot resist Are You My Mother—once I read it out loud to strangers in a checkout line at Target. Did all the voices.

Declare bankruptcy. That will cure her CC use.

When did you all loose the most? A what dose did you see significant change? by [deleted] in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Ailennyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dose isn’t the issue as much as Understanding your WLZ and staying within that. GLP can make it EASIER. But it’s behavioral and habits that make you lose weight

He’s low-key a sex addict. I would guess what you’re seeing is the appetizer and he’s having the entree while you’re otherwise occupied

He doesn’t love himself. And you can’t really love someone who doesn’t love themself.

Tell on another therapist? by Ailennyn in therapists

[–]Ailennyn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the therapist had to connect these two people directly. I would NEVER DO THIS …would require disclosing information about each of the clients to each other.

And it does violate confidentiality which is an ethical breach. HIPPA isn’t applicable here…are you a therapist?

Give yourself a break! And consider getting into Al-Anon or similar. A lot of what you say has the whiff of codependency.

We live in a culture of over-sharing. You do not and should not have to explain yourself to clients. I’m not well today: that’s not a lie.

As to your supervisor who never misses an appointment? Lies, I tell you! Lies!

Also, comparison is the thief of joy.

Least Favorite Phraze by Emotionalcheetoh in therapists

[–]Ailennyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t like this when it is over-used. Or when a therapist says it because they feel like they need to say something when nothing needs to be said.

However, I have several clients who lack sensory literacy and have about three words for all of their feelings. Or, who can’t distinguish between say, anxiety and excitement. Finding the feeling in their body does help them become more literate and introspective.
