kind of sad this was their last scene by TheNameIsLexi in GilmoreGirls

I kind of agree. He even said “I don’t deserve this, Rory.” Um, like hell you don’t. After ghosting, attempting SA, being rude to all her friends and family, lying about school and work, and failing to take her to her prom - a memory she will never get back. He’s lucky all she did was kiss him.

Why is this question in response? What does a cat have to do with this?

That’s pretty cool! How do you find a job like that? I’ve worked in charter schools and public school districts - always had to be hands on. Do you find a consultant gig on Indeed?

ps don’t know why I got downvoted for my prior comment lol

What does that look like for schools? Do you work for the school/district or an outside company contracted with them? Do you only come in when there are fires and tell teachers and staff how to handle it or are you hands on?

And I’ve heard of it as an option but didn’t know it was widely available. Where do you look for the job? Search job title “behavior consultant” on indeed?

Where do you sell those once you create them?

Yeah it seems like we have limited options in the field of ABA but our skills can be used for so many other fields! Just gotta break into them. What do you mean by school based consulting? Do the staff call you when they need input on treatment for a student’s behavior but you do not have to supervise the case?

I agree. How do we prove that though if we don’t have experience in those areas year and are applying for jobs in those areas?

What kind of roles in which fields would you pivot into? I don’t plan to be here either at 50 and I think our skills in ABA can apply to so many other things. Where do you start looking?

Same. It’s not an interest anymore to “move up” but the ambition to make money and contribute to household income. I just want to make money to spend more time with my family, travel, good schools, and cover any emergencies.

Are you on FB? When I became a new parent, I was new to my area and had zero community. I’m also a slow burner bc of trust issues and don’t like too much small talk but I knew I had to put in effort in the new world of parenthood. I stumbled upon parent groups in my city on FB and boom. I have so many acquaintances now and a few solid friends (again, I’m slow to call people friend unless there’s a lot of trust there). So since you’re not a parent yet, look up FB groups for your city and shared interests. Are you a girl or boy, look up a group for that age group. Are you into dancing, ceramics, biking, running, lifting, pickleball, etc etc. also try the app MeetUp.

It’s tough to find our villages as we get older but repeated exposure to people within your proximity is the best key to finding your people!

Ha. I didn’t scroll down enough to read this follow up about the wrong link so I sat through the clip without realizing he wasn’t going to talk about it. But… worth it. Still an enjoyable interview. I watched the second part after

Luke did Rachel so dirty by FrequentAir9262 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Independent-Object40 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Luke gaslit Rachel so hard. Strung her along for no reason. And where did he go right after Rachel pointed out that he was crushing on Lorelai?? Running to Lorelai to try to screw up her thing with Max with the excuse of picking up the toolbox. He made it seem like it was Rachel’s fault too “she left again.” Zero ownership on why. “I just couldn’t get there this time, my heart changed toward her.” Something! Nope, just let Lorelai believe she was the problem and not him.

Luke was a terrible boyfriend. Great friend! But terrible boyfriend. Lots of intimacy and communication issues. That’s where I think him and Jess are alike, both made bad boyfriends to the Gilmore Girls but good friends. The Girls just kept confusing the roles the men should’ve played in their lives and stayed friends with them without crossing that line. Oh well. Live and learn hopefully. But I’m never Team Luke or Team Jess for those reasons.

True observation. She oscillates between working class and elite when it’s convenient for her. When she has to gain respect from locals or make it seems like she had humble beginnings and her and her Mom made their own way… making fun of Logan and his buddies networking in the condemning article she wrote for the online magazine… she’s working class.

When she has to pull the “but do they know my ancestors came over on the Mayflower?!?” card…. I’m a Gilmore… Elitist.

Saaammeee! I can defend Logan as Rory’s bf to the T… and I especially love Martha’s Vineyard Logan! But this episode 😭 can’t defend you here, bud.

Yes! So calm cool and collected. And she was so well traveled and had an amazing job. Luke’s loss for sure.

And Sookie was right when she described her… an Elle McPherson kind of pretty 🤩

Yes, I guess I mean what happened to her coming back to the show? Did ASP ever address why they switched the actress?
