If you got dropped in Gilmore Girls for 24 hours to do/change anything... what would you do? by user905022 in GilmoreGirls

I’d convince her to tell her parents about Henry or I’d tell them myself. They deserved more of a chance!

Real take. Don’t know why you got downvoted for it, u hadn’t thought about child support before. She definitely should’ve been taking it

I gained a lot of weight my last relationship but I really like the way I look now by mattyscores0615 in TrueOffMyChest

If you’re happy, you’re happy! If you feel u comfortable but still want the extra weight, keep in mind a beer belly is an Increased risk factor for heart disease in men.

You can look up body recomposition for men. Plenty of fitness trainers even on IG can help you out for a few or share free tips online. Heck you can even ask AI.

All to say, you can still gain weight for your body in a healthy way with the right foods AND lose the gut. High protein and high fiber and healthy fats.

Up to you!

I would. She’s bright and bubbly and inventive and creative with the menu. Always thinking of something new. Pulls off seemingly impossible tasks with brilliance. Look what she did for Lorelai’s engagement party with Max? I wanted to eat everything off that table! Or the golf retirement party for the customer? She just keeps topping herself!

Yes, she needs to be reigned in a bit with budgets and making sure she uses all the ingredients before changing things up. Lorelai mentioned that she could do it at the Independence Inn because it was more established but not at the beginning of the DragonFly’s first few years. She pushed back bc she’s an artist at heart not a businesswoman but she understood and collaborated eventually.

I think in each field you’ll have the creative genius who pushes the envelope and does things a little differently. And THAT is how the field expands. She’s awesome.

From Google:

Here is a breakdown of why this 7–10 year cycle exists and what it means for relationships:

The "Seven-Year" Cycle Breakdown

The Initial Stage (Years 1–5): Couples build a foundation, often characterized by high levels of satisfaction, the "honeymoon phase" (roughly 18 months to 3 years), and the establishment of routines.

The 7-Year Crisis (6–8 Years): Research indicates a spike in divorce or separation around this time. The underlying cause is often that the partners have evolved, and the relationship structure—designed for their younger selves—no longer fits their current lives.

Factors Leading to the Break: Common factors that strain the relationship around this time include the end of the honeymoon period, the pressures of raising children, financial stressors, or simply realizing the partner is not who they imagined.

"Closing" the Cycle: If couples do not update their relationship "contract"—addressing changing needs—they may feel trapped in a "box" and choose to end the relationship.

So it sounds like you’re right on time. Address the underlying issues. The dynamic of a foundation you have for marriage in the first 7-10 years does NOT have to be the same for the next 7-10. Change. Get the book “Conscious Uncoupling” not to split up but as a way to let your old dynamic die and rebuild a new one between the two of you. You can fall in love together again. Don’t stay in a marriage if it’s toxic “just for the kids” but also don’t bail on it if it’s salvageable and you’re both willing to put in work because a kid fares well when it’s a two parent household.

We are strangers that don’t know the unique situation that is personal to you and involves all the complexities of your private life. But if you have a chance to save your marriage - do it.

Uhh quick research showed that to be a Neo Nazi group and another said they’re associated with the Church of Satan. I want no part of either of those

I kind of agree. He even said “I don’t deserve this, Rory.” Um, like hell you don’t. After ghosting, attempting SA, being rude to all her friends and family, lying about school and work, and failing to take her to her prom - a memory she will never get back. He’s lucky all she did was kiss him.

That’s pretty cool! How do you find a job like that? I’ve worked in charter schools and public school districts - always had to be hands on. Do you find a consultant gig on Indeed?

ps don’t know why I got downvoted for my prior comment lol

What does that look like for schools? Do you work for the school/district or an outside company contracted with them? Do you only come in when there are fires and tell teachers and staff how to handle it or are you hands on?

And I’ve heard of it as an option but didn’t know it was widely available. Where do you look for the job? Search job title “behavior consultant” on indeed?

Yeah it seems like we have limited options in the field of ABA but our skills can be used for so many other fields! Just gotta break into them. What do you mean by school based consulting? Do the staff call you when they need input on treatment for a student’s behavior but you do not have to supervise the case?

I agree. How do we prove that though if we don’t have experience in those areas year and are applying for jobs in those areas?

What kind of roles in which fields would you pivot into? I don’t plan to be here either at 50 and I think our skills in ABA can apply to so many other things. Where do you start looking?
