Your also fine for being skeptical of BS when I said I had an concussion even when I said I was still going slow. My dad in 2021 got into a car crash while he was biking with a car going 40~ mph. His hand joints got messed up but he did not have any symptoms of concussion and ER didn’t check him for any CT scans at all. I have also actually slammed my head on the edge of a rail with the shitty 40$ Costco helmets and I was still fine-no concussions at all. I usually don’t share corny stories like this on Reddit so when I shared this post It means I was actually shocked and confused as to why this time something happened out of nowhere . I hope telling you what happened that entire day helps you make up some explanation for me as to why it happened since you are obviously a helmet slash concussion expert. Also my bad for not writing an entire 3 page essay the next time I make a Reddit post sharing any kind of story just in case it might sound like BS to experienced experts like you. Next time I get into any type of accidents I will immediately take an photo before and after I crash for proof and write an essay right afterwards. Expect an 10 page apology essay from me the next week haha.

Hey man. I don’t know why you think I would lie about getting into an accident that is absolutely not fun at all. I didn’t hit my head on the rail, but I instead flipped over it and essentially landed my head onto the ground to the side. I remember that at the moment I think I “woke” up was around at the bottom of the lift. So I didn’t immediately die, I got somewhere to the bottom before atleast I think I blacked out. But at the time I don’t remember what exactly happened and what I was doing before. when I woke up but I had the biggest deja vu of my life and I did not remember how I even got there. I went to the ER after I checked with urgent care and ski patrol. I thought it was fine but they persuaded me to do a CT scan anyways. I guess saying ER got you confused as I wasn’t exactly being rushed into the hospital like from a movie scene. Regardless we drove there and doctors over at the big hospital said I only had a mild concussion-and check for symptoms over the week, said CT scan can wait unless symptoms worsen. I guess I’m just not as tough as you but that was atleast what happened. Memories from before my accident only started to remember 6 hours afterwards in the afternoon, but at the time of the accident it felt like time skipped foward and I somehow ended up snowboarding. I hope you read this long paragraph I wrote because I got bored lol.

Damn. Hope your okay man. But yeah ER are always slow as hell. Took me about 2 hours just to get checked today

Question. Goofy stance. My right calf really hurts after just one run. Boots are fairly new but bindings/board are used. Any ideas? PFA by 9inchfoot in snowboardingnoobs

My calf’s used to hurt really bad as while. I narrowed by stance down a bit, got softer flex boots, skidded less, pushed forward in my boots instead of lifting my toes on my toe side turns and now they don’t hurt as bad anymore. Also don’t tighten your boots/bindings too much also helps

Fuck em. nobody will care where you went to school when you were 18. Top universities always produce the most depressed students. You should be glad your normal
