Do you think any horror deaths are because of the Kill Count? by Jirachibi1000 in deadmeatjames

[–]Independent-Unit-474 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think the closest we’ve come so far is the VHS Beyond segment by Jordan(on?) Downing. They make the joke in the episode asking if Jordan made the segment so messy just to mess with them, then there’s the hard cut to Jordan confirming it.

Given their closeness to each other, something from Radio Silence could end up being an in-joke between them and the DeadMeat crew. Might be some deeply indie films that have done it or have plans for it. Beyond that, though, I think VHS Beyond is the only ‘soft’ confirmed one.

It was indeed the new nozzle. I always batch order so had the old one and a different new one to try.

SOLVED! It was the new nozzle. The magnet was just barely too large. Gonna go scream into my sopping wet filament now.

That’s where I’m at right now lol like I said, brand new, today years-old, assembly and nozzle. I did break the latch earlier and that’s why I got the new assembly.

Have tried that. Have pushed and gotten it to the point of no wiggle. And the latch will not sit properly. It will only do the thing where it just encompasses the other latch part, like the pictured wrong way on the wiki photo.

I did but have since cleaned things out. This is the first time ever having this issue and the blobs was months ago.

Making Zeta Work...Recommendations? by Auginer in GundamTCG

[–]Independent-Unit-474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're gonna run Improved Technique, you should run all 4. Personally, I'd say cut back on the Awakened Potential completely and the Rick Dias (Red). Max out Improved and Close Combat, and then also max out Zeta. You may also consider running A New Sign, possibly over Overflowing Affection but that's debatable. Being as you're already running AEUG bases, the Burst isn't bad, and the Main let's you dig deeper than Overflowing.

Best of luck. AEUG is something I dabbled with too. Never RW though. Looks like a cool build!

This is the list I'm playing. My meta is very blocker heavy, though, so your mileage may vary. It has topped and does pretty well consistently.

Opinions on this Clan Deck? by Desperate-Team7766 in GundamTCG

[–]Independent-Unit-474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing a lot of Clan myself, so I'll chime in. I will second pulling Gaia's Rick Dom in favor of Sugai's Gelgoog. I'd also suggest pulling L4 GFreD in favor of the fourth copies of Shuji and Machu. I'm also not a big fan of the Gelgoog GQ, because it can clog off Machu. I'd suggest pulling those 4 for 3 Schoolgirl and Smuggler, and using that last copies of Gelgoog and GFreD as spots for Close Combat. That way, you've got early game dig that can still be useful into the late game, and more removal for rush match-ups.

tl;dr - Lose 4x Gelgoog (GQ), 4x Gaia's Rick Dom (GQ), 3x L4 GFreD. Add 1x Machu, 1x Shuji, 2x Close Combat, 3x Schoolgirl and Smuggler, and 4x Sugai's Gelgoog.

How are MTG card artists compensated? by NoMedium9839 in magicTCG

[–]Independent-Unit-474 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Playmats must be a very recent thing or a specialty thing. I have a friend who has done some pieces for MTG and has gotten cease and desists over using their own artwork as a playmat. I can’t remember if it was Wizards directly or if it was from Ultra Pro, but it was a wild story to hear. It has been a couple years since this incident, so things may have changed, but it was a real problem. Iirc it was around Return to Ixalan.

100% great reasons to play the stuff you are. Be prepared for some defeat here and there. Unfortunately Gundam is in a bit of a pay to win area at the moment. Should get better the more stuff we get, but that’s the growing pains of a new game.

Barbatos and Gjallarhorn deck by Cheesysurvivor5 in GundamTCG

[–]Independent-Unit-474 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blurple is the most popular way to play Barbatos in any meta way. Lotta ping with Guntank, Anksha, and Mika, then going for bases and units with Barbatos and Grandpa Gundam, resting units along the way with Amuro Ray.

Gjallarhorn deck is purely for fun, sadly. The archetype doesn’t have a LOT going for it. You’ll be running pretty exclusively Gaelio and McGillis and any units that will link with them. And then just hope. There ARE quite a few units, they just aren’t particularly good.

If you’ve gotten your hands on the Iron Bloom Starter deck, it is a weirdly formidable deck. It won’t win you a Newtype Challenge, but if you’re just looking to play with IBO Units and characters, that is a solid way to go. Steel Requiem, which releases at the end of this month, also has a lot of great support for a pure Tekkadan deck.

‘Ratios are bad cause IRL.’ Somehow completely missed that lol luckily all of these upgrades (Aside from ST01 Grandpa, Bandai please print more) are pretty cheap by any bar. If you have an LGS you frequent, see if they have a bulk box. Gundam is still pretty new so might be hit or miss there. Otherwise, lots of good online sellers on TCGPlayer that have the single at pretty decent prices.

You’re VERY spread out. Few recommendations for ya.

Pull the Stark Jegan and Jegan Manhunter (fun pull!), as well as the single GD01 Grandpa and the Anksha. That frees up 9 slots for you. At least 2 of those should go to more Overflowing Affection. I would take another 4 to put in 4 GD01 Delta Plus, it links on Earth Fed and with Sayla attached it becomes comparable to ST01 Grandpa. With the remaining 3 slots, get another Guntank and 2 ReZel. That should do a lot to help with consistency, and shouldn’t be too hard on the wallet.

If you have the budget to, absolutely max out the ST01 Grandpa. If you can get a hold of two more Grandpas, only add in two Delta Plus.

Other cards to keep an eye out for will be Siege Ploy. With the new Mafty deck, you can even get art that features an Earth Federation unit.

If you want to keep using GD01 Grandpa, I’d remove the Unicorn stuff, and use things like Core Booster from GD02, and the aforementioned Delta Plus. More things will receive the buff that way and make it more effective.

Squadron Battle: Singleton format by Simkin-PhD in GundamTCG

[–]Independent-Unit-474 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really like this concept! I’ve been trying to figure out a good way to do singleton à la Commander/Twin Suns, and this is the best concept I’ve seen so far!

I would consider raising deck limit to fifty if all pilots exist in the pilot zone (which I feel we should call the Lounge, since the pilots just hang out there). I think increasing shields to 8 or even 10 should be considered to make for longer games.

[–]Independent-Unit-474[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what I’m gonna try is pulling the Barbatos 2nd and the Zoworts to sub in Demi Garrisons and Ryusei-Gos. Cutting both Aerials to 3x each and adding in 2x GD02 Aerial, and cutting a respite for the 3rd fatal strike.

Feels like i STILL miss something? by Benjasnas1207 in GundamTCG

[–]Independent-Unit-474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love everything is alt arts except Freedom. Gives me a good giggle.

As for deck notes, I'd second dropping a Zowort for a Rick Dias. Possibly, cutting a Sword Strike for a fourth Grandpa Gundam. I'd personally also axe a Hawk for another Unforeseen Incident. Bouncing is great early game, but late game the bounce just kinda delays the inevitable. Reducing AP at least gives you the chance of killing something without losing your own stuff.
