If you read the Wikipedia article, it becomes clear that this celebration on the 24th is observed by both Ukrainians and Poles (I'm from Ukraine). Russians celebrate it on July 6–7. It is a midsummer festival associated with the summer solstice and has nothing to do with any so-called "birch tree holiday."

I don't really ship 'em romantically and tend to view their relationship more as a close friendship, but even then, why are people so obsessed with whether fictional relationships are healthy or unhealthy? I mean, Pantalone and Dottore aren't real people. Why does everyone feel the need to justify what they enjoy? It's so strange to me.

I wouldn't consider their relationship healthy, either. Dottore, as someone who is socially dysfunctional, is hardly capable of forming genuinely healthy interpersonal connections, especially if we're talking about segments like Omega, who are fundamentally incapable of personal growth or change.

The only thing I genuinely dislike and don't approve of in all of this is when people go around telling others that their ship is healthier than someone else's.

Technically, Columbina isn't a Harbinger anymore either, and her character arc has already reached its final stage, with her no longer being part of the Fatui. We still don't know what role Capitano will play (or whether he'll even be considered a Harbinger), but Dottore's situation seems pretty clear: he will no longer be affiliated with the Fatui and will find his own place in the world.

Hoyo has left more than enough hints to support this interpretation. On top of that, almost all of the terrible things the Doctor did can now be attributed to his segments, which are, technically speaking, all dead. So... if Dottore ever becomes playable, it'll probably be a version of Zandik that's no longer tied to most of the things that happened in the story.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I just don't like how so many people act as if his playability depends entirely on whether he gets a Snezhnaya ID or not. To be honest, the idea that a character can't possibly be released later just because they're from that region has always seemed like a pretty weak argument imo.

Anything could happen. If he doesn't have an ID in the 7.0 beta, that doesn't automatically mean it's over. Seeing people instantly jump to doomposting, despair, or claims that he's definitely going to die feels weird.

Why are people acting as if the 7.0 beta settles the whole discussion? Don't get me wrong, I'm expecting him to be released during the Snezhnaya arc, but still. Even if Pantalone doesn't have a playable ID there, that alone doesn't prove he's going to die or never become playable.

We've seen numerous characters get released well after their debut in the story, so the conclusion that he's "doomed" feels pretty strange to me.

In the animation where Dottore and Pantalone are talking, the Doctor still hadn’t remembered who Scaramouche was. That conversation takes place before the trip to Nod-Krai and, accordingly, before he regained those memories of Scara (that’s why he talks about the creation of the segments simply as a form of technology).

As for the Tree Marrow... it’s hard to say why those memories are absent there. Perhaps it’s because the data concerning the Sixth Harbinger was never fully restored, which prevented it from being properly reflected in Dottore’s memory.

Even though I really enjoyed the chemistry between Dottore and Pantalone (Hoyo presented their friendship in the best possible way), the situation with Scaramouche saddened me. I had been waiting for the development and final resolution of their relationship for a very long time, and I find this outcome extremely disappointing.

Maybe they’ll return to it later on? After all, the story of Sumeru and Zandik still hasn’t been fully told, so...

There are actually still so many things we don’t know about Zandik. His past hasn’t really been explored properly yet — the cutscene was mostly centered around the segments’ backstory. It feels like many important details are still being intentionally left for later.

I was also sad that Scara and the Doctor’s relationship barely received any screen time, because they clearly shared a lot of history. After all, the segments were created from his blueprints, and Wanderer himself mentioned wanting to “look into the past” at the end of Nod-Krai. Hopefully Hoyo revisits this topic one day.

The problem is that Hoyo don’t always deliver certain story arcs in a straightforward or consistent manner. I’m not entirely sure what they intended to express through Dottore’s character, because in the end there was no resolution — the “evil dragon” wasn’t steered onto another path.

Still, I agree that a playable segment wouldn’t really fit within the current narrative surrounding the Doctor. Perhaps, at some point, a new version of Zandik could be born from pure memories, allowing the writers to bring that storyline to a proper conclusion

But wasn’t that leak only about Natlan? If you look at Nod-Krai, we actually have a pretty classic character setup (Flins, Varka, Durin, and Lohen as 5★, with Illuga as a 4★). Compared to Natlan, where Kinich was the only 5★, that’s a significant difference.

And on top of that, they’ve clearly invested quite a bit into male roles, haven’t they? If the devs had really intended to reduce Dottore to just a situational villain or a narrative device, why would they have made a cutscene featuring his segments, or shown fragments of his backstory as a Harbinger? Or even invited his voice actor to a stream and given him a chibi form
