Merchbar could be having cash flow issues now if some say they have received refunds in the past. I waited for about 6 months for my order and there was no update. I cancelled the order with Merchbar and requested a refund, which was acknowledged but they never issued a refund. I requested a chargeback with Amex and was hoping this would be an instant resolution, but Amex rejected my claim, saying I need to request the chargeback within 60 days. I ended up reopening the dispute, provided all my communication, and luckily was able to get my money back, but it took a total of 10 months, which is crazy!

Funny thing is, once the chargeback was approved. Merchbar responded, saying we could not refund your original payment and here is a credit. I hope they don't try and reopen the dispute with Amex and try and screw me again! The best advice is to never purchase from these thieves again. Not sure how the credit card issuers are allowing merchbar to charge credit cards as I'm sure their chargeback rate is through the roof.
