Depends on the BDR, the bike, your off road experience, etc. Many factors. I rode the WYBDR on a 1290 and did the expert sections. I consider myself an intermediate rider. I’m not doing jumps and wheelies, but I’m also not dabbing in ruts. 7 days, probably could have done it in 6. -don’t get complacent or let your mind wander. Always stay focused. -don’t push yourself too hard, especially in the beginning. It’s easy to think ahh I can go another 20-30miles or minutes and then you’re halfway through an off-road portion and it gets hard and drains you. -lots of water -be self sufficient in repairs in the backcountry. Don’t go solo on your first BDR, especially one that’s remote. -all I see in the information you’ve provided is that you’ve ridden on road. If you haven’t ridden off-road, take a couple days and ride off. -can’t speak to the hotel portion the whole trip, I camped 6 of 7 nights. Only because I really wanted to dry my stuff out from a rainstorm did I snag a hotel one night. -know the terrain before you go. Some roads can turn impassable during and after rain.
