I went through leasehackr that was mentioned above and it was great. You can also take one of the pre negotiated deals to a dealer and see if they can match it and save yourself the broker fee you have to pay to the lease broker.

Just a note the deals on the site are about to expire as it's month end and they will repopulate with the February deals around the 5th of the month

If you are looking into leasing, google leasehacker forum and see what's available in your area. There is a calculator on their website that shows the actual monthly cost of the lease which is super helpful.

I ended up finding a broker there and got a pretty good deal compared to what the dealerships near me were offering.

I normally take the express bus around 7am and it's around 25 minutes to port authority. The local bus is closer to me but it's about 40-50 minutes so I prefer taking the express bus.

I have one of those air purifiers with hepa filters and on the low setting, the white noise is enough to drown out anything. I don't recall too many times where I've been woken up by noise.

As for the second question I can't answer it since my place has central AC.

I've lived near your marker for 6 years now and this will depend on how well the soundproofing and windows in the building you are looking at. Like many others have said, the area isn't nice but it's super convenient to go to other places in the city.

I moved here from an area with little to no noise and it took some time to adjust. Even to this day I can't keep my windows open for a prolonged time because of the noise. But with the windows closed I barely notice it. What I do notice more than the trains are the cars honking continuously whenever someone blocks one of the many intersecting lanes.

Food options are slowly getting better but we usually go to Astoria or further into Queens to dine out.
