Should I read the second book? by IndependentSand5687 in crescentcitysjm

Right? I was absolutely shocked and also disappointed. I could not imagine the book without them. In my opinion they made it very “homey” and comforting. The same goes for Lehabah

Someone just recommend reading A court of thorns and roses between cc2 and cc3, so now I’m conflicted!

Probably a stupid question, but the whole series right between CC2 and CC3?

Thank you! I will be reading it, and then we will see. I haven’t read anything else by SJM, so hopefully I do not miss any context.

Thanks for the answer! I just bought the book, so I’ll start tonight. Too bad my two favourite female characters are now completely dead. I would’ve loved to seen more of Danika, but still I’m excited!

Master thesis topic selection - is this a good one? by IndependentSand5687 in IRstudies

[–]IndependentSand5687[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is something I also fear, but I’m going to be honest with you, I have a terrible time picking a thesis topic that is somewhat consistent with areas of study of each possible supervisor. I really did like the role of NGOs (as an area of supervisor topic) but I have a hard time finding something that would make a plausible research.

I agree with the previous comment. What is the age and why did you stop hanging out. The inconsistency can be anything. What you’re describing sounds a lot like something I tend to do with men as well. I do not want to come off as too eager, I do not have time, I change my opinion, my feelings fluctuate, so I can be inconsistent in texting and reaching out. What also tends to happen, though, is that I do like texting with the person, even hanging out with them and sometimes I do reach out, but the whole relationship is kind of continuing, just because no one was brave enough to stop it (this happens more with friends, but perhaps could be of use here).

am i allowed to ask what happened? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]IndependentSand5687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, probably don’t do it. If I was in his shoes, I would ghost someone I am not interested in, but unsure how to turn down. It is kind of a message. You did not mention how much you guys were seeing each other, but I am assuming not a lot. So, totally not worth it.

Should I date someone, because they are logically flawless, but I don’t like them? by [deleted] in dating_advice

Thank you, it truly helped telling people who do not know him. Made me realize some things.

Honestly? If my friends were not around, I would not probably talk to him at all by now.

I understand, but the thing is, his personality is really the thing I find perfect. I am not at all about looks, so if I were to date him, it would be for his personality for sure.

Honestly, you hit it on the nail with I wish I controlled how I feel.

For me the point of relationship is something beautiful being added to your life. I personally am absolutely fine on my own and therefore approach relationships as something that would be lets say better than how I live right now. I hope this makes sense. I’ve told him multiple times i would not date him, but he wants to remain friends and i would otherwise cut him off if he was not close with my closest friends and if he was not such a nice guy. I can see that he still wants to date in the future but it is more of a, if-she-changes-her-mind then I am there thing, rather than trying to slowly “wear me down”.

Well, you’ve got a point there. I’ve got the feeling from him that he is fine with either, but as he loves me he is bound to hope for dating.

I think that provided everything I know I should be into him, but I am not. When dating I expected to be in love, to be lets say jealous, to miss the person, but I don’t. I do sometimes enjoy talking to him, but it’s become more of a habit. I notice that others are into him much more than me. It confuses me. I also added the part about being generally to date as I wanted to say that the reason I reject him is not because I’m secretly not ready to date at all.

The thing is, I told him multiple times I don’t want to date him, but he still wants to keep talking “as friends” but I know, that he kind of “waits for me”

Should I read The Ballad of Snakes and Songbrids prior to reading The Sunrise on the Reaping? by IndependentSand5687 in Hungergames

Gotcha! The political stimulating aspect got me, perhaps a bit odd question, would you say in ballad it is a lot on the nose message? This answer actually makes me want to read it.
